Angèle is back with a single featuring Justice
Nearly five years after Nonante Cinq (2021), Belgian singer Angèle is about to make her long-awaited return. According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, she will unveil a new single on February 27th, 2026, co-written and co-produced with the French duo Justice. This very electronic track is said to blend French and English lyrics. Titled What You Want, the song follows in the footsteps of Fever (2020), her duet with Dua Lipa, which alternated between French and English.
“The uptempo track proves highly effective. Justice’s punchy signature sound provides the backdrop for the singer’s soft voice,” Le Parisien notes about the new single. A first extract of the song shared by the star on her Instagram account shows what fans can expect from this exciting collaboration.
The striking video for What You Want
Angèle turned to the electro duo Justice to bring their darker, more aggressive, dancefloor-driven edge to the track, and the fusion of their two worlds proved a perfect match. This collaboration with the duo formed by Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay was accompanied by an arty, untamed music video shot on an iPhone in the streets of Marseille at night by (La)Horde, who also created the single’s artwork. The video notably features the singer dancing with a young woman and kissing her among other queer couples.
Discussing the video, the collective of artists and choreographers that heads the Ballet National de Marseille explained: “We asked ourselves how, after the Olympic Games buzz surrounding her collaboration with Phoenix and Kavinsky, an artist of her generation could appropriate the codes of French Touch — a powerful artistic movement, but also a very male-dominated one. We found it incredibly exciting to accompany this meeting between the pioneers of electro and Angèle’s own creative universe.”
Dis-le, Angèle’s powerful anthem
The star also released a second single, Dis-le, on June 19th 2026, through her new label, Angèle VL Records / Sony Music. Produced alongside her longtime collaborator Tristan Salvati, the pop-electro track carries a strong message. In a press release, the singer explained: “Dis-le invites us to give voice to our inner thoughts, to express what we keep to ourselves. The song encourages us to break the silence, free ourselves, and proclaim our own identity loud and clear. It is an empowering, liberating anthem. An invitation to say what we feel in order to let it go and to declare who we truly are deep down.”
This potential hit is accompanied by a music video directed by the Paris-based creative duo Suzie & Léo, whose previous clients include Louis Vuitton, Nike, Fendi, and Yung Lean. Once again, the artistic collective (LA)HORDE was in charge of the choreography. The video pays tribute to rave and queer culture and features prominent figures from the hardstyle scene as guest performers.

A new electro-pop direction
Any other clues about the star’s new musical identity? Angèle, who regularly shares covers on her Instagram account, posted a rendition of Neverender by Justice and Tame Impala on February 10th, 2026. A choice that suggests an electro-pop shift. The exact release date and title of her new album remain unknown. But the prospect of this new artistic direction is already thrilling.
After all, Angèle had already brilliantly ventured into electronic music during her surprise appearance at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games in 2024. She joined Phoenix and Kavinsky for an updated version of the producer and DJ’s hit track Nightcall.
Dis-le (2026) by Angèle, available now. Angèle’s third album doesn’t have a release date yet.
