Doechii’s best looks, one of the most charismatic rappers of the moment
Winner of the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album on March 3rd, Doechii is the new it girl to follow in the music and fashion worlds. Striped ties, crinoline suit trousers… The rapper’s style of dress elevates the officewear trend to its zenith. As she prepares for her very first appearance at the Met Gala, Numéro looks back at the fashion rise of the new princess of rap, with an anthology of looks from the collections of Thom Browne, Miu Miu and Willy Chavarria.

Doechii, the rapper crowned at the 2025 Grammy Awards
Doechii has done so. The self-proclaimed “princess of the swamps” – in a nod to her Florida origins – won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for her opus Alligator Bites Never Heal (2024). She is the third woman in history to be crowned with this award after Lauryn Hill in 1999 and Cardi B in 2019.
Dubbed by Kendrick Lamar, SZA and Tyler, The Creator, the 26-year-old rapper had until then cemented her career with tracks with dazzling successes on social networks. Scene-stealing looks at Fashion Week and the 2025 Met Gala
Alongside her onstage prowess, Doechii is fast becoming tomorrow’s fashion icon. At the Fall-Winter 2025-2026 Paris Fashion Week, she made several striking appearances. At the Louvre’s Grand Dinner on March 4, 2025, she glowed in a gold princess gown by Valentino. At the Chloé show, she embraced boho chic in a long pink dress worn barefoot. And at Schiaparelli, she was a modern goddess, pairing a draped white dress with a denim corset.
Things weren’t always so refined… Before the release of Alligator Bites Never Heal, her public appearances were marked by bold, provocative looks. From a gothic black leather jacket at the 2022 VMAs to a 2000s-inspired cropped top at the 2023 BET Awards, the singer enjoyed playing with aesthetics and trends on the red carpet—guided by her stylist Sam Woolf.
Most recently, on May 5, 2025, the rap star dazzled in a full Louis Vuitton look at the Met Gala. Her outfit paired a cropped suit jacket and famous Louis Vuitton checkerboard print shorts with an oversized bow tie in the same hue as her shoes.
Doechii’s most polished looks
The latter confided in an interview with the American media Paper : “We had many conversations about the new direction we wanted to give to his style. (…) We were already immersed in this universe inspired by the swamps, very trashy-core, with which we had a lot of fun. (…) But the woman she embodied had to grow and evolve. We had to let this era be what it was supposed to be and then move on… “
But Alligator Bites Never Heal is starting a new era for Doechii, both musically and in terms of looks. To promote the release of the album in 2024, the rapper is putting together a wardrobe with officewear touches.
Blazer jackets, thin ties and skater skirts became Doechii’s favorite pieces. She performs in October 2024 on the stage of the Parisian Alhambra in a Vivienne Westwood ensemble composed of an unbuttoned shirt, an unstructured tie with a neglected knot and a plaid skirt.
Thom Browne, Miu Miu… A star dubbed by the trendiest brands
In addition, she is getting closer to some of the most fashionable brands of the moment, appearing on the Tommy Hilfiger, Luar and Willy Chavarria shows. The latter imagined a men’s suit with brown undertones, which she wore for his (sensational) Tiny Desk concert.
Doechii is also an avid fan of Miu Miu, one of the houses that instigated the office siren trend during its Fall/Winter 2023-2024 show. On the stage of the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in November 2024, she pairs a striped polo shirt and rectangular-framed glasses with mini-shorts stamped with the house’s logo. One a cross between officewear and no pants trends that elevates Doechii a little more to the rank of it girl…
Doechii rethinks the officewear look
Perhaps this is where Doechii’s genius lies: managing to dust off the emblematic pieces of everyday life without ever making them banal. While the officewear wardrobe Perhaps deterrent by its austere and monotonous appearance, Doechii restores its letters of nobility by exploiting it with audacity and versatility.
She punctuates her outfits with hints of color, far from the gloomy shades of gray and beige usually advocated by the trend. Moreover, the rapper galvanizes the narrow silhouettes of officewear by integrating whimsical touches. The best example of this is undoubtedly the lifting pieces of tape (which she sometimes covers with rhinestones!) that adorn her face in all circumstances.
The looks she offers on the stage of the Grammy Awards are undoubtedly the ultimate proof of this. A striped dress with exaggerated hips, a crinoline-style pants ensemble, not to mention a balloon dress made up of unstructured trouser legs set with belled boots… With no less than four outfits by Thom Browne, the rapper is definitely one of the stars to follow very closely.
On May 5, 2025, Doechii will walk the steps of the Met Gala for the first time, the most anticipated fashion event of the year. Celebrating the art of men’s tailoring, this edition could well mark a new coup for the rapper. Only a few more months to wait to find out what she has in store for the occasion…
