This Monday, May 5, 2025, the world finally discovered, after months of speculation, the red carpet looks from the year’s most anticipated fashion event: the Met Gala. As always, the iconic soirée was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, bringing together the biggest names from fashion, music, cinema, and even sports. A night devoted to elegance
“Superfine, Tailoring Black Style” is the title of the new exhibition held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. As tradition dictates, it was inaugurated by the grand Met Gala 2025. Presided over once again by Anna Wintour, the event welcomed some of the biggest stars, dressed by the most prestigious designers.
With a dress code of Tailored for You, this year’s theme celebrated menswear, tailoring, and Black dandyism. And once again, the stars brought their full creative flair to the red carpet.
Among them, the four co-chairs were impossible to miss, each displaying elegance and boldness. Pharrell Williams posed in a stunning white double-breasted blazer from Louis Vuitton, embroidered with 100,000 pearls, while American actor Colman Domingo went all out in a head-to-toe Maison Valentino look, complete with a long blue cape over a sleek tailored suit.
Meanwhile, Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton wore a white suit by Wales Bonner, and A$AP Rocky opted for a black suit from his own label, AWGE. The American rapper appeared alongside his wife Rihanna, who wore a Marc Jacobs ensemble consisting of a cropped jacket, bodysuit, and wool skirt, paired with a hat designed by the iconic Stephen Jones.
Zendaya, Charli XCX, Doechii… the celebrities spotted on the red carpet
In addition to Hunter Schafer in Prada, Jennie in Chanel, Anne Hathaway in Carolina Herrera, and Charli XCX in Ann Demeulemeester, several celebrities truly caught our eye with their remarkable looks.
First up, Nicole Kidman. Arriving in a bow-adorned dress reinterpreting a 1952 Balenciaga haute couture design, she turned heads and exuded unparalleled elegance. Nearby, actress Jenna Ortega wore a Balmain look that paid homage to couture and craftsmanship. Made entirely of metal rulers, her strapless dress was a masterpiece of artisanal skill.
Lastly, among the night’s most majestic outfits was the Miu Miu gold lamé sheath gown worn by Gigi Hadid, a beautiful tribute to the legendary Josephine Baker, who was photographed in the early 1950s wearing a nearly identical design by Pierre Balmain.
