  • Benicio Del Toro and Max Verstappen in the contents of the Spring/Summer 2026 issue of Numéro Homme 51

On the cover of Numéro Homme 51, two modern-day heroes. Hollywood actor Benicio Del Toro and Dutch racing driver Max Verstappen, photographed respectively by Jacob Sutton and P.A. Hüe de Fontenay.

Benicio Del Toro is one of those rare actors whose mere minutes on screen are enough to make a film riveting. To lodge himself in the collective imagination, and move with ease from an Avengers-style franchise to an auteur film, the actor draws on his genuine love of cinema and his absolute faith in the future of film. Numéro went to meet him.

Max Verstappen, also featured in this new issue, is one of those rare individuals who make us believe that anything is possible. Like winning his first Formula 1 Grand Prix before he had even passed his driving test. Armed with calculated aggression and extraordinary technical mastery, he is already snapping at the heels of the greatest competitors in the history of his sport.

Vassili Schneider’s first film and Marlon Magnée’s exclusive interview

Far from racetracks, in Mamoiada, Sardinia, the mamuthones turn their ritual into a memorial and supportive system for the community. For this issue, fine art photographer Pieter Hugo traveled to document the nobility of this ancestral tradition.

The magazine also focuses on architect Bjarke Ingels, who is sought after around the world by cultural institutions, public authorities and property developers alike. On the cinema side, the interview with Vassili Schneider reveals the young actor in a new light. Having already directed a promising short film, he is now working on writing his first feature.

Also in this new issue: an exclusive interview with former front man of the band La Femme, Marlon Magnée, who unveils his debut solo album, Dark Star.
