From TV shows, such as Euphoria, to independent productions, such as Priscilla and Saltburn, everything works in favor of the career of the 27-year-old, who is one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. Jacob Elordi’s unexpected debut in The Kissing Booth
A handsome, mysterious boy riding his motorbike… The Netflix film saga The Kissing Booth (2018-2021) is what put Jacob Elordi under the spotlight. The 28-year-old Australian embodied the older brother of the protagonist’s best friend, who fell madly in love with him and his bad boy looks… While those films have contributed to the actor’s fame and that of actress Joey King, they are far from being his best projects. As a matter of fact, he himself is not very proud of the teen romcom trilogy.
Fortunately for Jacob Elordi, his career quickly took a different turn. In 2019, he joined the cast of the ambitious HBO series Euphoria. A show that was a resounding success when it came out. It propelled Sydney Sweeney and Hunter Schafer into the ranks of highly sought-after talents.

With his vast collection of handbags, the actor hasn’t gone unnoticed by Hollywood directors. After Austin Butler, Sofia Coppola turned him into Elvis Presley in Priscilla (2023), a biographical drama film tracing back the life of the singer’s wife, Priscilla Presley, played by actress Cailee Spaeny (Civil War).
That same year, he also worked with director Emerald Fennell on Saltburn. Alongside comedian Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi played the sensual Felix Catton, a wealthy and seductive academic, in a sultry project filled with the Oxford aesthetic of the 2000s. That role further boosted Jacob Elordi‘s popularity and caught the attention of Italian director Luca Guadagnino (Queer). For him, he starred in the latest Chanel N°5 perfume campaign alongside Margot Robbie. The production was staged like the perfect idyll against a Californian backdrop.

Gay romance, Frankenstein… Jacob Elordi’s exciting projects
In 2025, Jacob Elordi starred in many huge productions. On the small screen, he was the lead of the show The Narrow Road to the Deep North (2025). Based on Richard Flanagan’s novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North, this drama is set in Asia during World War Two. Produced by Prime Video and available on Canal+, the series stages Jacob Elordi as a surgeon dealing with the devastation of prison camps.
On a different note, Jacob Elordi was the protagonist in Daniel Minahan’s feature On Swift Horses. This gay love story is set against a backdrop of tragedy and drama. The charismatic Julius (Jacob Elordi) meets a colleague (Diego Calva) with whom he gets romantically involved in secret during the mid-1950s. Daisy Edgar-Jones (Twisters) and Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) also appeared in On Swift Horses, released in April 2025.
The Australian actor also worked with a big name in the industry — Mexican-American director Guillermo del Toro. The actor was expected to play a demanding role as Frankenstein’s monster. Adapted from Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, the Netflix production featured Jacob Elordi as a frightening creature. A real character study developed alongside actors Oscar Isaac as Victor and Mia Goth as Elizabeth Frankenstein.
Collaborations with Margaret Qualley and Lily-Rose Depp
While those films thrilled, they are far from the only entries in the actor’s filmography. Among his upcoming projects, Jacob Elordi is set to star in Ridley Scott’s film The Dog Stars (2026), whose trailer has just been released.
