Colm Dillane casts Vincent Cassel in the KidSuper show
True to his love for theatrical staging, New York label KidSuper and Colm Dillane unveiled a collection that blurs the line between dream and reality on January 24th, 2026. The creative director cast French actor Vincent Cassel as the main character of his show. Numéro takes a closer look.

A theatrical runway questioning the limits of reality
Barely six months after receiving widespread acclaim for a show at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Colm Dillane has returned to the French capital. The founder of KidSuper, an insatiable multi-hyphenate, asks a universal question this season: “What if reality itself were a simulation?”
To tackle this complex query, Colm Dillane drew on a heavy dose of imagination. After presenting his last collection in the form of an illustrated book, he opted for a more cinematic approach this time. The KidSuper show opened with a mysterious short film starring French actor Vincent Cassel. The video was projected onto the pristine walls of a white cube placed in the center of the Pavillon Cambon.
Deeply influenced by cinema, Colm Dillane borrowed from science fiction and film noir to blur the lines between fiction and reality. As a meta nod to this concept, Vincent Cassel himself emerged from the front row, thus amplifying the ambiguity created by the film.

As the white structure rose, it revealed a runway cluttered with chairs and tables, reminiscent of a living room frozen in time. A robotic voice echoed through the space with an announcement: “What you are about to see is not real.” The first look on the runway replicated the exact same outfit worn by Vincent Cassel on screen, dissolving the boundaries between both worlds. What follow was a parade of some forty silhouettes. Each one of them looked like a character coming straight out of a gangster film… or the cult classic The Matrix (1999).
Oversized faux fur coats, long black leather coats, revamped trench coats and suits composed this hybrid and deeply dramatic wardrobe. Colm Dillane’s colorful paintings then appeared on the jackets and coats. Once again, they stood out as the signature pieces of one of the most exciting labels in today’s cultural scene.
After teaming up with Mercedes-Benz for a series of bold biker jackets last season, the label now partners with whiskey brand Jameson and flip-flop giant Havaianas. Another proof of its flair for unexpected collaborations. Ultimately, Colm Dillane cemented his Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection as one of the most exciting and whimsical highlights of this Fashion Week.
