According to early reports by Deadline, Netflix and Tim Burton have chosen Eva Green to bring the character to life in the third season of Wednesday, whose official release date remains unknown. Contrary to rumours, Lady Gaga will not be the one embodying Aunt Ophelia. A casting choice that seems almost obvious, given the 45-year-old French actress’s track record of imbuing her roles with her dark, magnetic charisma.
One can remember her intense performances in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016) and in the splendid series Penny Dreadful (2014–2016).
