The Molitor hotel, the legendary address in the 16th arrondissement

Why? In the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the Molitor hotel stands out as one of the French capital’s most legendary and best-preserved addresses. Built in 1929 by architect Lucien Pollet, this emblematic building, renowned for its two iconic pools, has lived through the ages. All the while remaining faithful to its original spirit, at the crossroads between sport, relaxation and seaside fantasy. Now transformed into a five-star hotel, it keeps the singular aura of an urban ocean liner anchored in the city, where Art Deco architecture creates a dialogue with a contemporary vision of luxury.

What makes us dream? Its impressive outdoor pool, of course, which gives the place the feel of a seaside resort in the heart of Paris. The rooftop, entirely reinvented this season around a Mediterranean imaginary, is a must-see. With generous sofas, azure blue and sunshine yellow tones, a plunging view over the pool and the Eiffel Tower on the horizon, the hotel offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in the capital. A momentary interlude where one can enjoy the atmosphere and the unique Parisian sensation of having left the city without really leaving it.

The address? Molitor hotel, 16 Avenue de la Porte Molitor, Paris 16th arrondissement.

Maison Monceau, a family-run hotel near Parc Monceau

Why? On a quiet street located in the 17th arrondissement, just a stone’s throw from Parc Monceau, Maison Monceau cultivates an understated elegance. Far from the grandeur of the city’s palaces, this family-run hotel prefers an intimate atmosphere. The place feels like a Parisian apartment designed as a place to stay for a couple of days.

What makes us dream? First and foremost, its location. Nestled between the tree-lined paths of Parc Monceau, neighbourhood cafés and the residential streets of the 17th arrondissement, the hotel gives visitors a chance to discover a calmer, more authentic side of Paris. We also appreciate its intimate ambience, human-scale spaces and that rare feeling of being welcomed as a guest rather than simply a customer. The ideal address for those looking to slow down while remaining close to the capital’s major attractions.

The address? Maison Monceau, 10 rue de Montenotte, Paris 17th arrondissement.

The Claridge hotel, Parisian elegance reinvented

Why? At 37 rue François-Ier in the 8th arrondissement, the Claridge Paris hotel has been given a new lease of life following a complete renovation. This historic address in the Champs-Élysées district has shed its former decor in favour of a brighter, more contemporary aesthetic. Here, comfort serves as the guiding thread of the guest experience.

What makes us dream? Its spacious, meticulously decorated rooms, where sophistication and warmth perfectly coexist. Noble materials, generous volumes and abundant natural light create a refined, intimate atmosphere, designed to provide a genuine sense of comfort in the heart of the city. Here, the hotel experience is deliberately simple and elegant. A particular attention is paid to the guests’ well-being, with a distinctly Parisian sense of hospitality.

The address? Claridge Paris, 37 rue François-Ier, Paris 8th arrondissement.

The Lancaster hotel, a chic and discreet address

Why? In the iconic and highly sought-after Champs-Élysées district, the Lancaster hotel has stood proudly among the elegant Haussmannian façades for over a century. From its opening in 1925, the hotel attracted some of the most illustrious figures and crowned heads of the time, from Marlene Dietrich and Queen Elizabeth to Clark Gable and Elizabeth Taylor. More than a hundred years later, the hotel continues to draw guests with its refined décor, attentive staff and distinctive interiors. Slightly old-fashioned perhaps, yet irresistibly charming, the setting shines thanks to minimalist lamps and contemporary rugs that bring a modern touch to its timeless elegance.

What makes us dream? We love the private terraces with their breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower, as much as the restaurant led by chef Sébastien Giroud. The patio iq what keeps us coming back… A hidden oasis of greenery, illuminated at night by softly glowing hanging lanterns.

The address? Lancaster hotel, 7 Rue de Berri, Paris 8th arrondissement.

A shopping weekend at Maison Albar – Le Vendôme

Why? In the 1880s, the building housed the Lyon d’Or, one of Paris’s largest cabaret-restaurants, and welcomed the biggest celebrities of the time. Now transformed into a hotel, it is home to Maison Albar – Le Vendôme, a five-star hotel in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, just steps from the Opéra Garnier and within walking distance of the department stores on Boulevard Haussmann and Place Vendôme. The perfect location for an intensive shopping weekend, where guests can also unwind in a magnificent 350-square-metre spa including a swimming pool set beneath a natural skylight, a whirlpool bath, a hammam and a sensory shower.

What makes us dream? The timber-clad façade of Maison Albar – Le Vendôme. Listed as a historic monument and renovated by Atelier Cos Architecture, it stands out strikingly among the ashlar façades that line the streets of the 9th arrondissement.

The address? Maison Albar – Le Vendôme, 7 rue du Helder, Paris 9th arrondissement.

The Canopy by Hilton, the arty spot with picture-postcard view

Why? Because the Canopy by Hilton Paris Eiffel Tower offers far more than a spectacular view. It also tells a story, both through its architecture and interior design. The hotel pays tribute to its industrial past, once linked to the supply of electricity, while embracing the graphic elegance of Art Deco and the 1930s atmosphere. A pivotal era, notably shaped by the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, which helped define modern Parisian aesthetics.

What makes us dream? The rooftop on the seventh floor, of course. Eylau Paris is one of the most romantic rooftops in the French capital. Facing the Eiffel Tower, chef Rémy Ribeaucourt offers a menu as refined as the setting itself. Once dinner is over, the hotel is perfectly located to extend the experience. Just a short stroll away, Place du Trocadéro has one of the finest views of the Iron Lady. The ideal address for a nighttime, or early morning, walk with your other half.

The address? Canopy by Hilton Paris Eiffel Tower, 16 avenue d’Eylau, Paris 16th arrondissement.

The NH Collection Ponthieu hotel: A chic retreat next to the Champs-Élysées

Why? Nestled in the 8th arrondissement, just a few minutes from the Champs-Élysées, the NH Collection Paris Ponthieu offers an elegant new option for those wanting to discover the capital’s most unexpected luxurious corners, without the sometimes overly formal atmosphere of large palaces. Its rooms and suites embrace understated elegance, where the charm of classic Parisian architecture meets more contemporary interiors designed with comfort in mind.

What makes us dream? The series of black-and-white photographs displayed throughout the hotel’s rooms. A deliberate tribute to the great couture houses and fashion icons of the 1950s and 1960s. This gallery is a subtle reminder that Paris was already setting the standard for glamour around the world nearly a century ago…

The address? NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées, 24 rue de Ponthieu, Paris 8th arrondissement.

A night on the Champs-Élysées at Vernet hotel

Why? Just steps from the Champs-Élysées, the Vernet hotel cultivates the art of discretion. Behind its Haussmannian façade, architect François Champsaur created interiors that favour suggestion over spectacle – serene marble, muted copper and contemporary lines that seem suspended in time. One wanders around the hotel like in a collector’s apartment, guided by light and by its original stained-glass windows. More than a palace hotel, this property — part of B Signature Hotels & Resorts — has a deeply intimate atmosphere. Here, Paris does not put on a show. Instead, it quietly appears to those who know how to look, far from the city’s flashier and noisier touristic spots.

What makes us dream? The magnificent glass canopy designed by Gustave Eiffel, beneath which the hotel’s restaurant takes the shape of a silent theatre. Here, chef Baldassare Mazzara’s Mediterranean cuisine explores the flavours and memories of his native Sicily.

The address? Vernet hotel, 25 rue Vernet, Paris 8th arrondissement.

The Filigrane Hotel, a sure bet

Why? Among the giants of Parisian hotels, the Filigrane stands out as a more intimate pick. The 43 rooms and suites, decorated in blue, black and white, green, bister, and red hues, create a warm, cocoon-like atmosphere in the heart of the city, in the 2nd arrondissement, near the Bourse and the BnF. With refined, soft materials – light wood and velvet – beautiful suites with balconies, and ultra-modern bathrooms, this establishment offers a cozy and welcoming bubble, perfect for a short stay in the capital.

What makes us dream? The Filigrane also features a wellness center, where guests can unwind in a steam room, sauna, or take a relaxing bath. For those who prefer a quiet moment with a book by the fire, we recommend curling up in one of the lobby’s armchairs near the fireplace, with a delicious cocktail from the bar in hand.

Where? Filigrane, 40 Rue Vivienne, Paris 2nd.

The Noucha, an elegant and cozy haven in the 16th arrondissement

Why? In the heart of the 16th arrondissement, Hôtel Noucha feels like a grand family home, with its soft, hushed interiors. In this revamped townhouse, mouldings blend seamlessly with sleek contemporary furniture and each room tells its own visual story. The sun-drenched brasserie offers seasonal French cuisine and the intimate bar carries the spirit of a private lounge. With a caring and attentive team, the hotel provides a quiet, sophisticated luxurious atmosphere for a tailor-made experience. Just steps away from the Eiffel Tower and Roland-Garros, Le Noucha stands out as a chic, elegant and quintessential Parisian haven.

This hotel offers a vision of Parisian hospitality centered on holistic well-being. A place where you can truly reconnect with yourself and the city. Behind its elegant facade lies a contemporary space softened by abundant greenery — patios with trees, lush terraces, and wide openings to the outdoors give the entire property the feel of an urban retreat. The suites are spacious and filled with light. They combine modern lines, noble materials, and artwork, creating a hushed cocoon far removed from the bustle of Paris.

What makes us dream? The terrace, obviously. Like a precious suspended jewel, it offers a stunning view of the golden dome of Les Invalides. It is the perfect spot for a breakfast in the sun or a drink at the golden hour. A rare luxury in Paris that gives you the feeling of being at once in the heart of the city and completely removed from it.

The address? Le Cinq Codet, 5 rue Louis Codet, Paris 7th.

La Fantaisie, a lush escape in the heart of the 9th arrondissement

Why? Behind its discreet facade, La Fantaisie offers a delightfully offbeat way of life. From the moment you step inside, colour is everywhere, from floral patterns to vibrant palettes and bold furniture… The decor sets the tone for a unique experience. Each room plays with space and texture to create settings that feel both playful and cocooning. The leafy patio offering an unexpected break in the heart of Paris is the cherry on the cake. It’s the perfect place for a quiet lunch, a dinner bathed in soft light, or simply to soak in the lush atmosphere, far from the urban rush…

What makes us dream? The spa is absolutely stunning with its mosaics in subtle hues. It is a world outside of time, where you drift from pool to hammam and treatment room. A whole journey before going back to the city with an incredible sense of lightness.

A dining experience that matches the level of the setting… Perfect for stretching the experience late into the evening.

The address? Elysia Paris, 35 rue de Berri, Paris 8th.

Les Jardins du Marais, an intimate oasis in the heart of the Marais

Why? With many galleries, museums, and the liveliest spots in the neighborhood nearby, Les Jardins du Marais offers a surprisingly calm atmosphere. Behind its discreet facades, the hotel unfolds around a vast inner courtyard that changes according to the seasons. A waffle chalet in winter, a chocolate bar or sunlit terrace in warmer months, this central garden brings a convivial spirit to the location. Inside, the decor balances muted elegance with contemporary furniture, classic touches and warm materials. The rooms, designed as urban cocoons, offer comforting cocoon after a long day exploring the bustling streets nearby.

What makes us dream? That feeling of complete disconnection the moment you step through the doors. Sitting in the courtyard with a hot chocolate or a glass in hand, forgetting you are at the very center of Paris.

The address? Les Jardins du Marais, 74 rue Amelot, Paris 11th.

La Fondation, a unique complex in the heart of Paris

Why? Probably one of the most spectacular openings of 2025, La Fondation Hotel, hidden just steps from the neighborhood Batignolles, draws us in with its glass facade and ultra-modern brutalist architecture. Opened last spring, the venue spans more than 10,000 square meters, spread across 58 rooms, two restaurants, a rooftop, an auditorium, a hanging garden, a climbing wall… and a semi-Olympic pool!

In short, a complex so vast that it seems almost impossible to imagine it located a the heart of an already busy capital. And yet, here it is. Designed by Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesh, the interiors immerse the visitors in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, amplified by the surprising volumes conceived by Philippe Chiambaretta. His visible concrete structure, wrapped in lush greenery, sharply stands out among the neighbouring Haussmann buildings.

What makes us dream? The immense bay windows in the bedrooms, flooding them with sunlight and offering breathtaking views. To be enjoyed without leaving the comfort of one’s bed… We also loved the ground-floor brasserie La Base, whose cuisine left us speechless, especially the tonello vitinato starter and the beef tartare served on brioche. A pure delight.

The address? Hôtel La Fondation, 40 rue Legendre, Paris 17th.

SAX, the new arty address in the 7th arrondissement

Why? Since its opening in May 2025, Hôtel SAX has been turning the heads of the most demanding visitors. Located in a listed building in the 7th arrondissement, the hotel captures the Parisian spirit, infused with contemporary refinement. Across its 118 very light rooms and suites, it offers a delicate interplay between classical architecture and modern design. At the entrance, La Galerie, a vast space with mirrors and Baccarat chandeliers, serves as a bar, restaurant, and reception lounge all in one. Located on rue Saint-Roch in the 1st arrondissement, it lies within walking distance of the city’s most iconic landmarks – the Tuileries Garden, the Comédie Française, the ultra-chic Place Vendôme. Yet, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, it houses a human-scale complex where an attentive staff takes care of every guest. Sarah Poniatowski-Lavoine is the designer behind this decor. She imagined a colorful, welcoming atmosphere in tune with the spirit of the place.

The address? Hôtel Le Roch, 28 rue Saint-Roch, Paris 1st.

A Parisian night at Hôtel Rochechouart

Why? It would be hard to find a better location. Facing the Sacré-Cœur, at the foot of Montmartre and steps away from rue des Martyrs, Hôtel Rochechouart ticks all the boxes. Housed in a late-1920s townhouse, the address charms with its Art Deco façade and its subdued atmosphere. It appeals to both Pigalle night owls and those looking for a little peace in this lively neighbourhood. Blending old-fashioned charm with modern touches, much of the decor has been sourced from antique dealers, with pieces ranging from the 19th century to the 1980s. A feng shui party at the Elysée Montmartre

Why? At first glance, photographs of the Elysée Montmartre could fool you into thinking it was miles away from Paris. Located within a vast space surrounded by vegetation, it’s hard to believe this address stands right on boulevard Rochechouart. And yet, with just sixteen rooms – four of them duplexes – the hotel offers a warm and quiet cocoon in the heart of the capital. Conceived by producer Abel Nahmias and architect Julien Labrousse, its pared-back, woody interiors feature unique furniture crafted by artisans specifically for the hotel. Linen curtains, exposed brick, raw materials, soft lines, and geometric forms: the decor draws inspiration from the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, celebrating simplicity and the beauty of imperfection. A feng shui escape without leaving Paris.

What makes us dream? The hotel’s secret screening room, which houses a rare collection of films and iconic concert recordings from the 1980s and 1990s. And for those who want to prolong the experience in real life, the hotel also secures tickets for guests to neighboring venues, such as La Cigale and Le Trianon, two of the city’s most coveted stages.
