From Cannes to Saint-Tropez, Numéro has selected six perfect beaches to unwind this summer with a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other.

  • The unmissable Loulou lands on the Riviera

A staple of the Tuileries Garden in Paris, the Italian restaurant Loulou is expanding to the French Riviera. And more precisely, among the very popular beach clubs scattered across Ramatuelle, near Cannes. Led by Benoît Dargère, the cuisine remains true to its roots – generous, authentic and inspired by the fresh delights of the Italian peninsula.

In a floral setting blending the vivid colours of Capri with the elegance of the Hamptons, the tables at Loulou Ramatuelle stretch out in front of the sea on the legendary beach of Pampelonne under the Mediterranean sun.

COYA Beach Club: A Latin American breeze on the Riviera

Nestled on the iconic Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle, COYA Beach unveils a new space imagined by the design studio First Within. In a chic, summery atmosphere, the decor combines wooden furniture, handmade Peruvian pottery, pastel objects, and lush vegetation. A thousands miles away from the more formal beach clubs lining up on the Côte d’Azur.

Comfortably sat down on one of the restaurant’s chairs with your feet in the sand, you can sample the venue’s signature dishes – sea bass ceviche, tiger’s milk – a sweet treat like the delicious churros with dulce de leche, or a cocktail from the Pisco Bar, such as a passion fruit margarita or lychee pisco with champagne. All that before getting your beauty sleep with your feet up on your deckchair…

Annex Beach by Cavalli and Jacques Garcia

For the first time in his career, designer Jacques Garcia ventures onto the seafront, creating the decor for Annex Beach in Cannes. Inspired by the lavish architecture of the Borromean island grotto in Italy, he brings a baroque vision to the Croisette with custom-made furniture, sculpted frescoes, soft lighting…

A captivating aesthetic that perfectly completes the venue’s second collaboration with the house of Roberto Cavalli. Cushions, armchairs, beach towels… The iconic Zebra print covers the Beach Club, where guests share seafood platters, while watching the new immersive show SOLAR, presented all summer at Annex Beach.

Juan Arbeláez at the helm of Copal Beach

On the beach of 3.14, Copal Beach offers a space entirely designed by Studio Oreka, where bougainvillea and chili pepper garlands mingle with pink lime facades and terracotta objects. A bohemian atmosphere inspired by South America, which can be also found in the dishes. Overseen by Colombian chef Juan Arbeláez, the generous menu offers ceviches, octopus, and Caesar salads.

Open 330 days a year and lined with 160 deckchairs right by the water, the beach offers a peaceful bubble away from the bustle of the Croisette. At nightfall, live piano music fills the place…

Jacquemus gives Monte-Carlo Beach a makeover

Following a remarkable show at Versailles last June and a new store opening in Ibiza, Jacquemus takes over Monte-Carlo Beach for the summer. On the venue’s iconic pier towering the Mediterranean sea, the French designer adorned parasols and sun loungers with black-and-white stripes and vivid yellow accents. A pleasant retro aesthetic in line with the brand’s La Croisière collection, unveiled last January in Paris.

The decor also matches the pool café nearby and two adjoining shops. Set up in Saint-Tropez for the past two summers and already well established on the Riviera, Jacquemus once again embraces the sunshine and summer spirit to roll out his signature Mediterranean universe.

Mathieu Pacaud and Cordelia de Castellane present Cybèle Ramatuelle Beach

French chef Mathieu Pacaud (Laurent, Apicius) has taken on a bold challenge… Reviving Le Neptune, the legendary venue on Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle. This brand new artistic direction brings a “seaside holiday home” vibe to life. The setting was designed by Cordelia de Castellane, creative director of Dior Maison.

As for the restaurant’s menu, expect fresh, local ingredients. Try the Greek-style melon, zucchini stuffed with spider crab, whole lobster with basil butter or Wagyu ribeye steak.
