The Selman, the pinnacle of luxury and comfort
Why go? Located at the entrance of the city, very close to the airport, the Selman offers the chance to unwind by the vast, sumptuous pool as soon as you land in Marrakech. Known for its attentive service and distinctive architecture inspired by Morocco’s grand stud farms, the hotel immerses guests in a unique, luxurious world. With its Chenot spa — only six of that kind exist in the world — three restaurants, terraces, stables, and spacious rooms, the Selman has everything you need for a weekend. You probably won’t want to leave.
The highlight? Its brand-new restaurant, Sabo, is helmed by French chef Jean-François Piège. Among lavish, intimate interiors and generous, refined menu, the venue is already shaping up to be one of the city’s must-see places.
The address? The Selman Hotel, Km 5, Route d’Amizmiz, Marrakech 40160.

The restaurant’s rooftop of the Dardar: DJ sets and hearty cuisine
Why go? Towering Marrakech, the Dardar offers a sweeping view over the city’s architecture. Hidden behind a discreet door in the heart of the souk, you will need to climb a few stairs to reach the restaurant’s rooftop. Decorated with elegant lanterns and plush banquettes, the terrace displays a trendy vibe, far from the noise of the streets nearby. On the agenda: trendy music, attentive staff, and hearty, authentic cuisine. Perfect to discover local specialties. After dark, the Dardar also hosts DJ nights for a festive meal enhanced by city lights.
Our favorite dishes? We highly recommend the chicken and almond pastilla and the octopus to start. Don’t forget the restaurant’s signature dish: the lemon chicken tagine. Simply divine!
The address? Dardar restaurant, 4 Riad Zitoun Lakdim, Marrakech 40000, Morocco.

A bubble of tranquility and refinement at Le Naoura in Marrakech
Why go? Closer to the city center than the Selman, Le Naoura is one of the most appreciated hotels in Marrakech. With its large pool surrounded by terraces for dinner and an afternoon tea, it is an ideal location to unwind during a hot weekend in the Moroccan city. Part of the prestigious Barrière Hotels group, the property offers rooms overlooking a serene courtyard, as well as small, private ryads. The perfect spot for a quiet getaway with family or a romantic weekend.
The highlight? While we’re tempted to say the breakfast buffet – the msemmens are a true delight – logic would direct us the Fouquet’s restaurant, located inside the Naoura. Whether for a candlelit dinner or a gathering with friends, this spot brings a touch of French elegance to Marrakech, paired with the warm flavors and hospitality of Morocco.
The address? Le Naoura Hotel, Rue el Adala, Marrakech 40000, Morocco.

Le Slimana, a hidden gem in the heart of the Medina
Why? In the lively alleyways of the Medina, Le Slimana unfolds over three stunning levels, like a traditional riad. On the ground floor, you’ll find a concept store dedicated to Moroccan craftsmanship. On the first floor welcomes the main restaurant. There, you can enjoy a meal sheltered from the sun and street bustle, around a pristine and lush patio. We would recommend going to the rooftop to enjoy the breathtaking view. From this rooftop terrace, you can catch a glimpse of the Atlas Mountains over a cocktail, with an exceptional view onto Marrakech. The restaurant used to be a former Sultan’s residence and immerses you in local craftsmanship through its tableware and furnishings…
Our favorite dish? For starters, we loved the smoked salmon and bulgur falafels. Then, we would recommend trying the delicious gnocchi with hummus and artichoke and sage cream… We are still dreaming about it.
The address? Le Slimana, 53 Kaat Benahid, Marrakesh 40000, Morocco.

A massage at the Mandarin Oriental spa
Why go? Often fully booked during the holiday season, its stunning architecture and luxurious ambiance leave any visitor breathless… And for good reason! The Mandarin Oriental boasts a unique spa available by reservation. From its indoor pool with garden views to its private hammams with showers and cozy tea lounge, the space is a complete oasis of relaxation. It is perfect for a morning escape, before diving back into the Marrakech experience.
The highlight? We highly recommend a massage at the Mandarin Oriental spa, possibly the best our editors have ever tried. Extensive and lasting nearly an hour, it leaves you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and delicately scented with rose argan oil.
The address? Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Route du Golf Royal, Marrakech 40 000, Morocco.

The Mazel: A perfect gourmet break in the heart of Marrakech
Why go? Located just a few streets from the Koutoubia Mosque, the Mazel stands out for its prime location in the heart of the Medina. Nestled on a small rooftop terrace and ideal for a quick lunch, this discreet restaurant offers a simple, yet delicious menu, served by a warm and welcoming staff. Don’t confuse it with its second, equally charming but more crowded location on Place des Ferblantiers.
Our favorite dish? The marinated chicken pita with tangy yogurt lemon sauce, served with fries. Simple and spot on.
The address? Mazel Laksour restaurant, 10 Rue Fatima Zahra, Marrakech 40000, Morocco.
