Season 6 of Emily in Paris will take place in Paris
In season 4 of Emily in Paris, which aired on Netflix in October 2024, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), the most American of French girls, moved to Rome following the expansion of the Grateau agency. There, she met a handsome Italian, Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini.
In season 5, which premiered on Netflix on December 18th, 2025, Italy was once again the playground for the narrative to unfold. The protagonist spent much of her time in Rome, working in the Roman office of the Grateau agency and fully embracing her romance with Marcello.
The plot for season 5? “Now leading the Grateau agency in Rome, Emily faces new professional and romantic challenges while adjusting to life in a new city. But just as everything seems to be falling into place, a work idea goes awry, triggering many setbacks, from heartbreak to career blocks.”
A last stop in Greece and in Monaco
Emily Cooper had to adapt to Italian customs while proving herself in the company of her new boyfriend’s mother. She even made a stop in the city of Venice… But where will season 6 take place, now officially confirmed by Netflix on January 5, 2026?
According to the teaser featuring a croissant shared on the platform’s Instagram account, the next season is expected to take place in Paris, returning to the series’ roots. Indeed, at the end of season 5, Emily had returned to the French capital. But then, we saw the character played by Lucas Bravo send her a postcard from Greece while aboard a boat for his job as a chef… Could the protagonist be tempted by a getaway to Mykonos?
This May, all our questions have finally been answered. Emily in Paris, season 6, will unfold between France, Greece, and… Monaco. Emily will fully embrace the European experience. On May 21st, Netflix shared a key information too. Season 6 will be the last one…
What cast for the new episodes of Emily in Paris?
When it comes to the cast, rumors swirled about Lucas Bravo’s absence in the role of the charming chef Gabriel, following his comments during the promotion of the film Libre (2024), directed by Mélanie Laurent and released on Prime Video. The actor had expressed a desire for his character to evolve with more depth and move away from his more indulgent traits. His remarks naturally raised questions among fans about whether he would return for season 5…
Lucas Bravo in the cast?
Eventually, Gabriel was part of the fifth season and reunited with his co-stars, including Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucien Laviscount and Ashley Park – the latters fell in love with each other in season 5. An irresistible cast that has been part of one of Netflix’s most-watched shows since 2020. However, actress Camille Razat has decided to leave the series in order to focus on her acting career.
Additional surprises from the new episodes? French actress Michèle Laroque is joining the cast of season 5 to play an old friend of Sylvie Grateau. Actor Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill, Suits LA) and Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), in the role of a princess living in Italy, are rounding out the list of new talents embarking on Emily’s new adventures.
As for season 6, nothing is known yet regarding the cast. We wouldn’t mind seeing a brand-new actor step into the role of Emily Cooper’s new love interest (now single), even though we still have a soft spot for Lucas Bravo.
