Nicole Kidman, forever a bankable actress

In October 2025, Nicole Kidman, 58, attended the spectacular Chanel Spring/Summer 2026 show in Paris. The star, whose divorce had been announced just a week earlier, was radiant in a loose white shirt and grey trousers with her brand-new bangs, surrounded by her daughters, Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban and Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban. Her chic, glamorous outfit even felt like a revenge look.

The appearance heralded the star’s new role as ambassador for the house, now under Matthieu Blazy‘s creative direction. Throwback to 2004. That year, Baz Luhrmann filmed Nicole Kidman for the Chanel N°5 perfume commercial after directing her in his cult film Moulin Rouge! (2001). The legendary couturier Karl Lagerfeld designed the costumes at the time and also made a brief appearance in the feature. Twenty years after that dreamlike short film, the actress is making hee comeback to the house.

Witchcraft, horror… The star’s many new projects

In addition to this new fashion adventure, Nicole Kidman is busy on all fronts in film and television. The star of Babygirl and Holland (2025) will play the lead in the series Scarpetta, starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Available on Prime Video since March 2026, the show follows Kay Scarpetta, a forensic pathologist, as she attempts to unmask a serial killer.

She will soon appear in numerous projects, including Margo’s Got Money Troubles, alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer, the Paramount+ series Discretion, also starring Elle Fanning, The Last Anniversary, the witch film Practical Magic 2 with Sandra Bullock, Mice, and Hope

Nicole Kidman is also part of the cast of The Young People, which does not have a release date yet. She will also appear in Osgood Perkins‘s new horror feature. The director of the chilling Longlegs (2024) called on Lola Tung, the breakout actress from the cult series The Summer I Turned Pretty, for his upcoming film.

    Another erotic thriller

Another major project? An erotic thriller, which does not have a title yet. For now, the project is called Discretion and is based on a screenplay by British actor Dylan Brady (Mary & George, Andor). According to Deadline, Nicole Kidman is in talks to star in the film produced by A24, the studio behind Babygirl. The screenwriter cited Fatal Attraction, Sunset Boulevard, and Eyes Wide Shut as key influences.

This feature tells the story of a struggling actor who is hired to babysit for a producer and her actor husband. He plans on getting the couple in his pocket in order to infiltrate the film industry. But he soon finds himself trapped in a dangerous spiral.

Erotic thrillers have historically always been very heterosexual. It’s the marital unit that is the hero that has to be preserved at all costs from an evil slut, who threatens that unity. (…) I wanted to break form and put a queer lens on it,” Dylan Brady told Deadline.

The new season of Big Little Lies

We also hope to see her in new seasons of the hit series Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers. According to the American media Variety, the 58-year-old Australian-American actress will soon star in the series Girls and Their Horses, developed by Amazon for Prime Video. The show is adapted from Eliza Jane Brazier’s 2023 novel of the same name. A wide range of projects that proves that there are indeed roles in Hollywood for actresses over 50.

Scarpetta (2026), created by Liz Sarnoff, available on Prime Video.
Pratical Magic 2 by Susanne Bier, coming out in theatres on September 9th, 2026.
