American Love Story, Ryan Murphy’s series on Carolyn Bessette
Prolific director, producer and screenwriter Ryan Murphy is set to revive the love story between fashion icon Carolyn Bessette and John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr., son of the 35th President of the United States, in a new series titled American Love Story. He has chosen actress Sarah Pidgeon (I Know What You Did Last Summer) to portray the young woman, who tragically died at the age of 33 in a private plane crash off the Atlantic coast in 1999. The role of the American heir will be played by actor Paul Kelly.
On Instagram, Ryan Murphy shared the first images from the project a few months ago and explained: “We started shooting this week in New York and can’t wait until you see the romantic and tragic love story between JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette – out Valentine’s Day week 2026.”
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a spin-off of Game of Thrones
An epic prelude to Game of Thrones (2011), this series takes place seventy years before the rise of the Targaryens and is based on the Tales of Dunk and Egg trilogy, a collection of novellas written by George R.R. Martin. It introduces Ser Duncan the Tall, naïve knight, and his squire, known as Egg. Set to premiere on January 18th, 2026, on HBO Max, the six-episode miniseries promises a mix of fan service and impressive storytelling. Expect more humour this time, even as the show explores the loneliness of a knight without a king.

Euphoria season 3 starring Rosalía
A few months ago, HBO unveiled a first look at superstar Rosalía – who recently released the brilliant album Lux – in season 3 of Euphoria, slated for release next Spring 2026. The total budget for these anticipated new episodes? An estimated $110 million, suggesting an exceptionally ambitious season.
As for the cast, the show’s iconic figures are back – Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer… Among the surprises in store for the new season are the much-talked-about appearances of Sharon Stone and the involvement of Hans Zimmer, who will oversee the original soundtrack.
The Testaments, a dystopian sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale
Following in the footsteps of the dark The Handmaid’s Tale (2017), The Testaments traces back Gilead’s dictatorship through the stories of three women, Aunt Lydia, Daisy and Agnes. Showrunner Bruce Miller announced the project in 2023, and production officially began in April 2025. The brutal setting of Gilead remains unchanged, but the perspective shifts. This time, the voices long silenced are finally speaking up.
Bruce Miller actually stepped away from the original series to focus on this adaptation. Scheduled for release in March 2026, the show stars young actress Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another) and offers a fresh take on tyranny and hope. The Testaments, created by Bruce Miller, coming out next March 2026 on Hulu.

Pride and Prejudice starring Emma Corrin
Netflix is preparing a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice (1813). All signs point to a mini-series that will delight both period drama lovers and romance fans. In the role Elizabeth Bennet, viewers will find actress Emma Corrin, already known for several standout roles in historical productions…
And that’s not all. Olivia Colman will also be part of the cast, reuniting with Emma Corrin after their performances in The Crown… With such a strong cast and the recent success of other period dramas (Bridgerton, The Crown), this new series is shaping up to be one of the platform’s most anticipated projects.
Margo’s Got Money Troubles with Elle Fanning
Among the most anticipated projects of 2026 at Apple TV+, Margo’s Got Money Troubles is already shaping up to be a must-watch. Adapted from a novel by Rufi Thorpe, the series boasts a stellar cast. The brilliant Elle Fanning will play the role of Margo Millet, while Nicole Kidman embodies as a mediator tasked with navigating the tensions between Margo and her ex, who also happens to be her former English teacher.
According to Deadline, the series is produced by A24 and helmed by David E. Kelley. Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning and Nicole Kidman are also executive producers of the project. Still in early production, after a platform bidding war ultimately won by Apple TV+, Margo’s Got Money Troubles does not have an official release date yet… But everything suggests that it will be one of standout show of next year.

The Savant starring Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain goes undercover in extremist rings… Created by playwright Melissa James Gibson (Anatomy of a Scandal, 2022), the series The Savant is inspired by the true story of a mother and digital watchdog determined to expose hate. In this fictionalized version, she becomes a secret agent known as “the Savant,” who infiltrates white supremacist online networks in order to dismantle their most violent factions and leaders from within.
Originally scheduled for September 2025 on Apple TV+, the show was delayed and is now set to premiere sometime in 2026. Online theories are thriving… Some think that the assassination of Republican activist and MAGA supporter Charlie Kirk in September 2025 may have prompted the schedule change… The Savant, created by Melissa James Gibson, coing out on Apple TV+ in 2026.

A series adaptation of Jacques Audiard’s film A Prophet
In 2009, the meteoric rise of Malik, a young inmate drawn into the violent world of prison, struck a chord at the Cannes Film Festival. There, A Prophet won the Grand Prix. With nine César awards, Jacques Audiard’s film not only highlighted Tahar Rahim‘s talent but instantly became a modern classic.
The new series stars Sami Bouajila and Mamadou Sidibé, who pick up the torch but shift the focus. A new Malik, of Comorian origin this time, is arrested after the collapse of a building in Marseille and finds himself caught in a contemporary clan war. A modern retelling that promises to reignite the legend without resorting to blatent imitation.

Blade Runner 2099 with Hunter Schafer
Starring Hunter Schafer and Michelle Yeoh, this sequel to the iconic Blade Runner (1982) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017) directed Denis Villeneuve is taking place in Los Angeles in the year 2099. Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive navigating a world ravaged by inequality and mass surveillance. Michelle Yeoh portrays Olwen, an aging replicant at the end of her life. In the ten episodes overseen by Ridley Scott, who directed the original Blade Runner, and Silka Luisa, the series promises to explore the notions of identity, humanity and technological control.

Scarpetta with Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis
Nicole Kidman takes on the role of famous medical examiner Kay Scarpetta, in a series based on Patricia Cornwell’s 28-novel saga, including Scarpetta (2008). Jamie Lee Curtis joins her as her disruptive sister Dorothy. Produced for Amazon Prime Video, this major thriller marks the first successful adaptation of the bestselling series.
After several failed attempts since the 1990s with Angelina Jolie or Demi Moore, Patricia Cornwell’s universe will finally see the light of day thanks to that powerhouse duo of actresses and showrunner Liz Sarnoff. Two seasons of eight episodes each are already in the pipeline.
