  • 8 designers running for the 2025 LVMH Prize

Last year, the LVMH Prize honoured two young talents who were already well-regarded in the industry – Swedish designer Ellen Hodakova (LVMH Prize) and the Dutch designer Duran Lantink (Karl Lagerfeld Prize). Each in their own way outlined a more ethical and singular vision of fashion. The first, through the use of recycled materials and surreal revivals of vintage clothing. The second, through exaggerated silhouettes and a fresh, playful style.

A true launchpad, the LVMH Prize shines a light on a handpicked group of designers. Not only are they recognized as names to watch closely in an increasingly saturated industry, but they also have the opportunity to meet professionals from the industry and potential future buyers over the course of a few days. The proof is in the prestigious members of the jury of this year’s edition, revealed on July 9th, 2025.

    A prestigious jury

Indeed, this year’s panel welcomes for the first time designer Sarah Burton, artistic director of Givenchy. But also Dior’s creative director Jonathan Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquière (Louis Vuitton), Nigo (Kenzo), Stella McCartney, along with Phoebe Philo, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Pharrell Williams. And of course, the usual members Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie, and Sidney Toledano.

Announced last April, the 8 finalists of this 12th edition are sure to make deliberation difficult for this star-studded jury. The finalists come from all around the world.

    Promising fashion designers

First, French designer Alain Paul and his universe inspired by dance. Then, the playful and colourful style of Dutch designer Danial Aitouganov with his label Zomer. But also, the bold glamour of Torishéju Dumi for Torishéju (worn notably by Zendaya). Finally, the subtly eccentric tailoring of Japanese designer Soshiotsuki, as well as All-In by Benjamin Barron and Bror August Vestbø, Francesco Murano, Steve O Smith and Tolu Coker.

Contending for the 2025 LVMH Prize – worth €400,000 and a year of mentorship – and the Karl Lagerfeld Prize – €200,000 euros and one year of mentorship – both centered on creativity, the finalists are also eligible for the new Savoir-Faire Prize this year – €200,000 euros and one year of mentorship – which rewards craftsmanship, technical innovation and sustainable practices.
