What are the greatest runway shows of the last 20 years?

Une réflexion sur la mise en scène du vêtement qui n'omet pas pour autant la perception purement mode du défilé, à travers des photos inédites et pour certaines encore jamais publiées. Alix Browne permet ainsi une immersion totale dans ces univers flamboyants. Elle précise d'ailleurs en introduction du livre que c'est en 1995 lors du défilé "Highland Rape" d'Alexander McQueen, où les mannequins se poignardaient entre elles dans une violence inouïe, arrachant leurs tulles et tissus tartans comme possédées par le démon, que l'auteure a vraiment pris conscience de la puissance d'un tel spectacle.

It’s a reflection on the mise-en-scene of the clothing without failing to omit the purely fashion aspect of the runway show, through so many unpublished and often previously unseen photographs. Alix Browne offers us complete immersion in this fabulously flamboyant world. She explains in the introduction of the book that it was in 1995 at Alexander McQueen’s "Highland Rape" show where the models stabbed each other in unprecedented violence, ripping their tulle and tartans as if possessed by the devil, that she truly realised the power of such an event.
