Lil Yatchy and Blood Orange reclaim a Tame Impala album

The Atlanta rapper and the British icon have remixed tracks from the Australian project in a highly anticipated album, The Slow Rush B-Sides & Remixes, which will be unveiled on February 18, 2022. In the meantime, discover a clip of the duo Lil Yatchy/Kevin Parker.

With Kevin Parker, the wait is long, but the delight is always immense. When the Australian behind the Tame Impala project unveils an album, often many years after the previous one, it is always a source of surprise, emotion and delight, as much for the public as for the critics. It is therefore with great joy that the world discovered, this morning, the announcement of the upcoming release, in February 2022, of an album of remixes of his album The Slow Rush, released in 2020. Composed of unreleased tracks (B-side) by Kevin Parker, the album, whose physical version will be accompanied by a box set with both discs, a new cover, the forty-page book and a calendar, presents above all new collaborations…

As the name suggests, The Slow Rush B-Sides & Remixes features covers of Tame Impala classics by today’s most talented artists. We find the Atlanta rapper Lil Yatchy, who sings on Breathe Deeper and who we see, in a hallucinatory video, stirring on the Australian’s pop chords. Also released, but without a clip, tracks by British icon Blood Orange – who is currently working on a series of unexpected collaborations, including one with the hardcore punk band Turnstile – and the figure of electronic music Four Tet – who recently worked on a single with Thom Yorke and Burial. However, not all the tracks have been revealed: we are still waiting, in particular, for an NTS [webradio britannique spécialisée dans les sets de musique électronique] version of the track One More Year.
