Balenciaga Spring 2026: a testamentary collection blending archives and pop culture
For his final ready-to-wear collection for Balenciaga, Demna delivers a personal, hybrid, and retrospective work. The Spring 2026 collection blends archival references, cultural influences, and a tribute to Britney Spears, thus offering an artistic and emotional finale to a decade of avant-garde fashion creativity.

Balenciaga’s Spring 2026 collection, Exactitudes, is much more than a series of looks. Demna’ last ready-to-wear collection showcases a deeply personal and cultural retrospective. It can even represent an artistic farewell to the house he has redefined over the past decade. Indeed, Demna will be joining the house of Gucci right after his final haute couture show in July 2025.
The Spring 2026 collection: a creative retrospective
With Exactitudes, Demna brings together elements from 35 previous collections, exclusive new pieces, and clothes from his own wardrobe. This meticulous patchwork shines a light on the codes that have defined his signature style at Balenciaga – over-the-top volumes, familiar, yet radicalized silhouettes, and a new interpretation of everyday life elevated to luxury. Oscillating between introspection and archival curation, this collection challenges contemporary dress codes and luxury norms.
His collaboration with Dutch artists Ari Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek — the minds behind the photographic project Exactitudes — further underlines his aim to capture stylistic tribes and archetypes, especially those that have fed Demna’s reflections on the anthropology of fashion.
Demna’s love letter to fashion and to his followers
Demna himself describes this collection as a return to his roots, a “love letter” to couture and to those who have followed his journey in the house. It marks the end of an era, before his final haute couture show. Through this gesture, he celebrates the silhouettes, attitudes, and individuals who have transformed the house of Balenciaga over the past decade.
To honor his loyal community, Demna is also opening a public exhibition. From June 26th to July 9th, at 40 rue de Sèvres, visitors can explore the elements that shaped his creative vision. Registration is available on exposition.balenciaga.com.
Balenciaga Music x Britney Spears: when nostalgia meets a pop icon
True to his signature cross-disciplinary approach, Demna creates bridges between fashion and music with the launch of the Balenciaga Music | Britney Spears series. This capsule collection pays tribute to another cultural icon, as part of a logic based on emotional and generational archival. It features vintage concert merchandise-inspired pieces, adorned with handwritten illustrations and images of Britney Spears by Rankin and Steven Klein.
In addition to clothing and accessories, the project includes an exclusive playlist curated by Britney herself. And there’s more, since it also features an EP of remixes by BFRND, Balenciaga’s long-time musical collaborator since 2017.
