The Filigrane hotel, a sure bet

Why? Among the giants of Parisian hotels, the Filigrane stands out as a more intimate pick. The 43 rooms and suites, decorated in blue, black and white, green, bistre, and red hues, create a warm, cocoon-like atmosphere in the heart of the city, in the 2nd arrondissement, near the Bourse and the BnF. With refined, soft materials – light wood and velvet- beautiful suites with balconies, and ultra-modern bathrooms, this establishment offers a cozy and welcoming bubble, perfect for a short stay in the capital.

What makes us dream? The Filigrane also features a wellness center, where guests can unwind in a steam room, sauna, or take a relaxing bath. For those who prefer a quiet moment with a book by the fire, we recommend curling up in one of the lobby’s armchairs near the fireplace, with a delicious cocktail from the bar in hand.

Where? Filigrane, 40 Rue Vivienne, Paris 2nd.

The Noucha: An elegant and cosy haven in the 16th arrondissement

Why? In the heart of the 16th arrondissement, Hôtel Noucha feels like a grand family home, with its soft, hushed interiors. In this reimagined townhouse, mouldings blend seamlessly with sleek contemporary furniture and each room tells its own visual story. The sun-drenched brasserie offers seasonal French cuisine and the intimate bar carries the spirit of a private lounge. With a caring and attentive team, the hotel provides a quiet, sophisticated luxurious atmosphere for a tailor-made experience. Just steps away from the Eiffel Tower and Roland-Garros, Le Noucha stands out as a chic, elegant and quintessential Parisian haven.

What makes us dream? On the ground floor, a spacious conservatory filled with light opens up. It is especially worth a visit on a winter morning, when you can enjoy the blue sky from the warmth of a sofa with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate in your hands.

Where? Noucha, 66 rue Jean de la Fontaine, Paris 16th.

La Fondation: A unique complex in the heart of Paris

Why? Probably one of the most spectacular openings of 2025. La Fondation Hotel, hidden just steps from the neighbourhood Batignolles, draws us in with its glass façade and ultra-modern brutalist architecture. Opened last spring, the venue spans more than 10,000 square meters, spread across 58 rooms, two restaurants, a rooftop, an auditorium, a hanging garden, a climbing wall… and a semi-Olympic pool!

In short, a complex so vast that it seems almost impossible to imagine it located a the heart of an already busy capital. And yet, here it is. Designed by Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesh, the interiors immerse the visitors in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, amplified by the surprising volumes conceived by Philippe Chiambaretta. His visible concrete structure, wrapped in lush greenery, sharply stands out among the neighbouring Haussmann buildings.

What makes us dream? The immense bay windows in the bedrooms, flooding them with sunlight and offering breathtaking views. To be enjoyed without leaving the comfort of one’s bed… We also loved the ground-floor brasserie La Base, whose cuisine left us speechless – especially the tonello vitinato starter and the beef tartare served on brioche. A pure delight.

Where? Hôtel La Fondation, 40 rue Legendre, Paris 17th.

Hôtel SAX, the new arty address in the 7th arrondissement

Why? Since its opening in May 2025, Hôtel SAX has been turning the heads of the most demanding visitors. Located in a listed building in the 7th arrondissement, the hotel captures the Parisian spirit, infused with contemporary refinement. Across its 118 very light rooms and suites, it offers a delicate interplay between classical architecture and modern design. At the entrance, La Galerie, a vast space with mirrors and Baccarat chandeliers, serves as a bar, restaurant, and reception lounge all in one. The atmosphere is hushed and elegant, with red lighting that will, no doubt, tempt you to linger into the night…

What makes us dream? This is a place to enjoy from morning to night. A late breakfast, a business lunch, cocktails with friends, or a refined dinner… Locals and travellers alike come here. As the evening comes, the lights dim, the music starts playing, and SAX transforms into a vibrant social hub. On the top floor, the restaurant Kinugawa Rive Gauche offers a refined escape, where Japanese cuisine meets Parisian art of living, in front of a breathtaking view on the Eiffel Tower.

Where? SAX Paris, 23 boulevard de la Tour-Maubourg, Paris 7th.

Hôtel de Sers: A chic, discreet gem in the 8th arrondissement

Why? Located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, Hôtel de Sers used to be the townhouse of the Marquis de Sers. Now, it hosts an elegant urban haven. Just steps from the Champs-Élysées, it appeals as much to shopping enthusiasts as to those seeking tranquility, far from the bustle of the famous avenue. Behind its pared-town Haussmann façade, the hotel combines heritage and modernity. The perfect blend of Art Deco details and contemporary touches imagined by interior designer Pascal Allaman.

What makes us dream? Each room tells its own story. Pale herringbone parquet, intricate woodwork, sweeping views over Paris rooftops… Some are even offering a face-to-face with the Eiffel Tower itself. The lobby, portrait gallery, and wellness area add to this refined, intimate atmosphere. Not to mention the S’Bar, a velvet-clad hideaway where signature cocktails and retro armchairs conjure up a quite cinematic ambiance. During Fashion Week, one can easily use it as a chic retreat for designers seeking a rare quiet moment between shows.

Where? Hôtel de Sers, 41 avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie, Paris 8th.

Le Roch Hotel, the height of Parisian chic

Why? Like a miniature townhouse, Le Roch Hotel is the quintessence of Parisian elegance. Located rue Saint-Roch in the 1st arrondissement, it lies within walking distance of the city’s most iconic landmarks – the Tuileries Garden, the Comédie Française, the ultra-chic Place Vendôme. Yet, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, it houses a human-scale complex where an attentive staff takes care of every guest. Sarah Poniatowski-Lavoine is the designer behind this décor. She imagined a colorful, welcoming atmosphere in tune with the spirit of the place.

What makes us dream? While we loved spending time at the hotel’s library, we couldn’t resist the sunlit terrace hidden in a private courtyard. The indoor pool bathed in natural light and the spa offering tailor-made treatments are a must.

Where? Hôtel Le Roch, 28 rue Saint-Roch, Paris 1st.

Grand Cœur Latin: A cocoon near the Panthéon

Why? While tourists often settle on the Right Bank, near the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, or the Opéra Garnier, some of Paris’s finest gems are actually hidden across the Seine. Far from the frenzy of rue de Rivoli or the Champs-Élysées, the Latin Quarter offers a peaceful haven, steeped in the bohemian spirit of the poets and artists who once lived there.

Just steps from the Sorbonne and the Panthéon, the Grand Cœur Latin offers a luxurious escape where time seems to stand still. The interiors designed by Vincent Bastie and Marie-Paule Clout are colourful and modern and unveil elegant arches, shaping an airy, captivating space reminiscent of the surrounding historic buildings. From the breakfast bar to the cozy bedrooms and warm welcome of the staff, staying here is nothing short of a voluptuous, poetic interlude. A rare find in Paris.

    A unique spa

What makes us dream? The highlight is undoubtedly the spa. Like a Roman bathhouse, the 15-meter pool built atop ancient remains enchants us with its rust-tiled walls and sky-blue water. After a few laps, guests can go to the hammam or indulge in other treatments given by expert hands. We highly recommend the signature massage by Angélica Soto. Her Tibetan Kansu technique soothes the entire body while focusing on calming the senses and the mind. Perfect for a total release before wandering the historic streets of the Left Bank…

Where? Hôtel Grand Cœur Latin, 20 rue Cujas, Paris 5th.

A Parisian night at Hôtel Rochechouart

Why? It would be hard to find a better location. Facing the Sacré-Cœur, at the foot of Montmartre and steps away from rue des Martyrs, Hôtel Rochechouart ticks all the boxes. Housed in a late-1920s townhouse, the address charms with its Art Deco façade and its subdued atmosphere. It appeals to both Pigalle night owls and those looking for a little peace in this lively neighbourhood. Blending old-fashioned charm with modern touches, much of the décor has been sourced from antique dealers, with pieces ranging from the 19th century to the 1980s. From its quintessentially Parisian restaurant to its panoramic bar, Hôtel Rochechouart is a cozy nest that proves hard to leave once the stay is over.

What makes us dream? The Maggie rooftop bar is a magnet for guests. Located on the 9th floor, it offers a breathtaking view of the Sacré-Cœur and the Eiffel Tower from its lush, 100-square-meter terrace. Open from 5pm to 2am, it’s the perfect spot for a calming tea after a long day or a cocktail at sunset in harmony with the nocturnal pulse of the City of Light.

Where? Hôtel Rochechouart, 55 Boulevard Marguerite de Rochechouart, Paris 9th.

A feng shui party at the Elysée Montmartre

Why? At first glance, photographs of the Elysée Montmartre could fool you into thinking it was miles away from Paris. Located within a vast space surrounded by vegetation, it’s hard to believe this address stands right on boulevard Rochechouart. And yet, with just sixteen rooms – four of them duplexes – the hotel offers a warm and quiet cocoon in the heart of the capital. Conceived by producer Abel Nahmias and architect Julien Labrousse, its pared-back, woody interiors feature unique furniture crafted by artisans specifically for the hotel. Linen curtains, exposed brick, raw materials, soft lines, and geometric forms: the décor draws inspiration from the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, celebrating simplicity and the beauty of imperfection. A feng shui escape without leaving Paris.

What makes us dream? The hotel’s secret screening room, which houses a rare collection of films and iconic concert recordings from the 1980s and 1990s. And for those who want to prolong the experience in real life, the hotel also secures tickets for guests to neighbouring venues, such as La Cigale and Le Trianon, two of the city’s most coveted stages.

Where? Hôtel Elysée Montmartre, 78 Boulevard Marguerite de Rochechouart, Paris 18th.

A night in the heart of Paris at Hôtel Cour des Vosges

Why? Located on the oldest square in Paris, the view from Hôtel Cour des Vosges over Square Louis XIII is undoubtedly one of the most coveted in the capital. With only twelve sumptuous rooms and suites, this discreet spot offers such an intimate atmosphere that guests almost feel as if they live there. Beneath the canopy of its four-poster bed, surrounded by artworks spanning the centuries, it’s nearly impossible to find the will to leave. A private, highly sought-after hideaway in the heart of Paris.

What makes us dream? The Roman bath, hidden on the ground floor. This secret retreat beneath vaulted ceilings is the hotel’s best-kept treasure. The perfect place to unwind at the end of your weekend.

Where? Hôtel Cour des Vosges, 19 Place des Vosges, Paris 4th.

Mama Shelter: A must-see location on the Left Bank

Why? More residential than other neighbours nearby, the 15th arrondissement boasts fewer hotels. Yet, the location is ideal for walks along the Seine, lingering by the Eiffel Tower, or attending major exhibitions at the Parc des Expositions. Designed by renowned architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Mama Shelter Paris West offers a playful haven on the western side of the city. Spanning more than 200 rooms, the hotel also houses a coworking space, sauna, gym, rooftop and two restaurants. Its eclectic, colourful style is a cheerful antidote to Paris’s occasional greyness.

What makes us dream? The panoramic rooftop of Mama Shelter Paris West. It offers a breathtaking view of the city and is the perfect spot for dinner at sunset, a Sunday brunch, or cocktails at any time of day.

Where? Hôtel Mama Shelter Paris West, 20 avenue de la Porte de la Plaine, Paris 15th.
