Belvedere Vodka Debuts Its First-Ever Zine
Thursday, October 30th, 2025 Belvedere Vodka toasted to its latest creative venture at Raoul’s Soho. The city came together to cheers to the launch of Hot Child in the City, Belvedere’s first-ever Zine, serving as a vibrant tribute to New York’s style, rhythm, and relentless imagination.
Edited by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, directed and photographed by Alana O’Herlihy, and fronted by Devon Lee Carlson, the limited-edition Zine blurs the lines between fashion editorial, visual diary, and cinematic daydream. Released as both a print and digital collectible, it’s a love letter to the city that never sleeps, told through the eyes (before the blurry vision from the martinis kicked in, of course) of three of today’s most dynamic women in fashion.

A Day in New York, Reimagined in Belvedere Style
Shot in O’Herlihy’s signature cinema verité style, Hot Child in the City follows Devon Lee Carlson through an imagined day in New York, one filled with movement, laughter, and Belvedere cocktails. Cameos by Karefa-Johnson and O’Herlihy weave the creative trio into the narrative, creating a story that’s as personal as it is playful.
From mornings at the Albright Fashion Library, where vintage silhouettes spill across the floor, to a spontaneous subway ride and late-night martinis and french fries, the Zine captures the chaos and charm that defines life in New York. Scattered throughout are handwritten notes, illustrations, and recommendations from NYC creatives like Kimberly Drew, Pierce Abernathy, Meredith Hayden, and Phil Oh, grounding the editorial in the world that inspired it.

Behind the Collaboration: Style, Storytelling, and Belvedere’s Vision
Karefa-Johnson who is known for reshaping the visual language of fashion steps into a new role as Editor in Chief, melding her eye for storytelling with Belvedere’s modern sensibility. “Fashion thrives in New York because the city is fast, expansive, and alive with a million imaginations,” she says. “This project is about celebrating friendship and fun — and finding those rare pauses in our nonstop romp around the greatest city on earth,” Karefa-Johnson states.
The project also marks a creative evolution for Belvedere. “The Zine made perfect sense for us,” notes Talia Fluger, Belvedere’s Brand Director. “We’ve always lived at the intersection of self-expression and style. Hot Child in the City reflects that — it’s playful, collectible, and totally unexpected.”

The Women Behind (and In Front of) the Lens : Carlson, Karefa-Johnson, and O’Herlihy
Each woman brought her distinct perspective to the project. Devon Lee Carlson, model, entrepreneur, and founder of Wildflower Cases, embodies the Zine’s spirit of carefree confidence. Often described as “the internet’s best friend,” she has become one of fashion’s most sought-after faces, shaping culture at the intersection of style, design, and digital influence as the story’s effortless muse.
Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, celebrated stylist, editor, and creative director, brings her bold visual language and deeply personal storytelling to the project. As the first Black woman to style a Vogue cover, she has become one of fashion’s most defining voices, known for infusing her work with authenticity, representation, and joy. In Hot Child in the City, she steps into a new role as Editor in Chief, shaping a vivid, fashion-forward portrait of New York that celebrates friendship, individuality, and the art of making your own fun.
Alana O’Herlihy, the artist behind the lens, infuses the Zine with her signature cinematic energy, merging the raw and the glamorous, the staged and the spontaneous. Known for her irreverent visual language that bridges fine art, fashion, and film, O’Herlihy blurs the line between creator and subject. In Hot Child in the City, her direction transforms everyday New York moments into vibrant, dreamlike snapshots of glamour, friendship, and self-expression.

A Collectible Love Letter to New York City
With only 1,000 printed copies, Hot Child in the City is available at Soho News International, Casa Magazines, and BelvedereVodka.com. It’s as collectible as it is creative and serves as a tangible reminder that in New York, style and spirit go hand in hand.
At Raoul’s, the Belvedere martinis flowed as guests toasted to the women redefining what collaboration looks like in 2025. Between the flash of cameras, the hum of conversation, and clinking of glasses, one thing was clear: Hot Child in the City is more than a Zine; it’s a moment.
