When it comes to classic rain boots, there are some go-to brands. Starting with Aigle and Barbour, which offer true Wellington boots suited to both gardening and city strolls. On the more luxurious side, Celine’s version stands out for its refinement, featuring a brown sole and a gold logo. But our favourite is from the brand Rier – tall boots made of rubber and leather, which balance elegance, comfort, and practicality.
Ankle rubber boots
A few years after the splash made by Bottega Veneta’s Puddle boots, ankle rain boots are enjoying a strong resurgence. This season, you will find standout designs at Dr. Martens, which offers a chunky, grunge version true to the brand’s image, and an equally bold take at MSGM.
Eccentric Wellington boots
If you’re feeling extravagant this winter, the big fashion houses are there for you. Maison Margiela continues to reinvent its cult Tabi, while JW Anderson treats the rain boot as a precious object, adorning it with a heavy gold chain.
