Souvenir Machine: A Slice of Americana in Paris

The shop? Part vintage store, part screen-printing studio, Souvenir Machine was founded in 2022 as “a sort of time capsule in the heart of Paris, where you can soak up the vibe of a nearly vanished America: one of rebels, creatives, and hippies,” says Thomas, the store’s founder and a lifelong collector of vintage T-shirts.

Whether you’re into Harley Davidson, Mickey Mouse, or cult ’80s films like Wild at Heart or Batman, this place will feel like stepping into a dream. And then there are the hidden treasures— velvet trousers, oversized bombers, fringed jackets, and boots—hundreds of them packed into this Aladdin’s cave.

What are its gems? Among the most coveted and rare items: a waterproof US Navy anorak from World War II and a satin souvenir jacket from the Korean War era, hand-embroidered in the 1960s.

Address: Souvenir Machine, 7 rue de Turbigo, Paris 1st.

    Nuovo: A 2010s-Inspired Identity

The shopIn just a short time, Lisa Lingenti has crafted a boutique with a singular identity, setting it apart from anything else in Paris. Perfectly located in the heart of the Marais, NUOVO revives the spirit of a bygone era with desirable vintage pieces that evoke a lighter, more innocent approach to fashion.

While many of the pieces bear the Plein Sud label—a brand founded in 1984 known for its sun- kissed silhouettes—the selection also includes curated finds: leather tote bags, clingy mini dresses, striped polos, ruffled skirts, round-toe heels, and lace-up tops that are equal parts sultry and casual.

The cherry on top? The shop is open every single day.

Famous fans? The boutique has become a favorite haunt for stars like Addison Rae, Tina Kunakey, and runway regular Amelia Gray.

Address: Nuovo, 130 rue de Turenne, Paris 3rd.

    Yallä: A Super-Friendly Thrift Spot

The shop? Founded about four years ago by Regina Daghman and Mr. Kayz, Yallä spans three warm and colorful locations in Paris’s 9th, 10th, and 18th arrondissements. Always buzzing, these shops rank among the city’s top vintage stores, offering both unbranded items and iconic designer pieces in an inclusive, sharply curated selection—a true love letter to fashion.

What are its gems? A black leather Pencil Cat bag from a recent Lanvin collection, a ’80s Schott Town bomber that straddles the line between leather jacket and puffer, and a sharply tailored Balmain blazer dress, the epitome of Olivier Rousteing’s graphic style.

AddressesYallä – 2 rue Gérando, Paris 9th; 71 rue du Faubourg Saint Martin, Paris 10th; 76 rue Marcadet, Paris 18th.

    Iregular: ’90s Minimalism Reimagined

The shop? Brie Larson, Rosalía, Simon Porte Jacquemus, Nina Park… From It-girls to top designers to Hollywood stars, they’ve all walked through Iregular’s doors. Founded by fashion archivist and historian Riad, the store spans two minimal spaces side by side near Saint-Georges.

What are its gems? The ever-evolving collection includes rarities like a John Galliano gown for Dior inspired by the paintings of Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo, a 1997 Comme des Garçons dress from the “Body Meets Dress” collection, and a silk djellaba by Tom Ford from 1999. Pieces you won’t find anywhere else.

Addresses: Iregular, 14 and 16 rue Victor Massé, Paris 9th.

Chez Snow Bunny: Extravagant Y2K Vintage

The shop? Rhinestone-studded tortoiseshell Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, a quilted Chanel mini bag, beige croc-print platform sandals, 2000s Dior mules, pink Juicy Couture velour sets… The treasures at Chez Snow Bunny are tailor-made for the “charming, coquettish young woman,” says founder Victoria Sapet, who runs the most glamorous and Y2K-obsessed vintage boutique in the capital.

Famous fans? The store has charmed stars like American rapper Tyler The Creator, Julia Fox, SZA, and actress Lily-Rose Depp.

Address: Chez Snow Bunny, 12 rue Dupetit-Thouars, Paris 3rd.

SELECTION Marais: A Concept Store for the Next Gen

The shop? More than a vintage boutique, SELECTION Marais—founded in 2021 by Alban Bardin —is a launchpad for young designers. The concept store collaborates with fashion and art schools, like the Duperré School, and hosts events from concerts to exhibitions. It even publishes its own magazine, the second issue of which is available at the Palais de Tokyo and Yvon Lambert bookstore.

What are its gems? From a Balenciaga runway invite shaped like an iPhone to a Moschino McDonald’s-inspired outfit from Fall/Winter 2014, the shop boasts a treasure trove of unique finds —including a 2007 Martin Margiela jacket, a 1992 bodysuit by Azzedine Alaïa, and a pink 1992 Gianni Versace suit.

Address: SELECTION Marais, 26 rue de Poitou, Paris 3rd.
