Marine Serre pushes the limits of upcycling with her spring-summer 2022

Presented in a video entitled “Ostal24”, Marine Serre’s spring-summer 2022 “Fichu pour fichu” collection  questions the world of tomorrow and the possibilities that would be available to us if we changed our habits in depth. Made from 45% recycled and 45% regenerated materials, the collection stands out as the designer’s most sustainable. Everyday objects made of fabric such as napkins , tea towels, and tablecloths are transformed into complex and luxurious pieces, questioning our relationship with beauty and utility. There are also the dresses made of vintage scarves and the printed jumpsuits that have been the brand’s signature since its beginnings.” I want people to feel the beauty and simplicity of being together and find pleasure in cooking, eating, dancing, doing yoga. And at the same time recognize that every day we make choices that have an impact, so how can we be more responsible in the decisions we make? Fashion is more than just draping fabric and making a profit, it can be a place where we are free to take meaningful action,” explains the French designer.
