  • A Venetian escapade at the Blumarine show

Watching the succession of silhouettes at the Blumarine Fall/Winter 2026-2027 show, one might feel as though witnessing guests emerging from an ultra-exclusive masked ball on the banks of the Venetian Canal. Ruffles, flounces, satin, bows, feathers and voluminous shapes punctuate the looks, like so many extravagant and glamorous costumes designed by David Koma.

This aesthetic was already in the last summer collection, with the lamé dresses and baroque prints. This season, the house pushed that vocabulary even further. The Italian designer crafted a wardrobe “worthy of a diva”, as described in the show notes.

The rose, Blumarine’s emblem, takes center stage in the collection. It is printed in red and black on taffeta capes, featured on balloon-hem mini dresses, embroidered in silver on sheer gowns. The flower even adorns a Napoleon-style jacket, an increasingly popular silhouette.

A wardrobe worthy of a masked ball

Within this glamorous, slightly dramatic wardrobe bathed in shades of red, black, gold and white, sensual and elegant Chantilly lace adorn trousers, dresses and skirts. The fabric is also paired with red and black knit cardigans featuring three-dimensional knitted rose petals.

One can notice the old-fashioned, baroque metal and enamel cameo buttons. They represent a rose, a butterfly, Blumarine’s “B” logo, or a lion. The animal is the emblem of Venice, which inspired the collection.

This Blumarine show is reminiscent of Venetian balls. Models follow one another wearing striking harlequin-patterned furs, skirts with exaggerated volumes and a profusion of ultra-sexy, bright red and black stockings. In short, a theatrical wardrobe where Italian glamour shines bright.
