What does the spin-off of “WandaVision” have in store for us?
After being a great success since its release in January 2021, WandaVision will get its spin-off: a series still on Disney+, but this time centered on the character of Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch played by Kathryn Hahn.
For the first time, a Marvel production will have its own spin-off, and not the least, since it is the
WandaVision
series, consisting of nine episodes broadcast from January to March 2021 on Disney+. Acclaimed upon its release – and appointed more than twenty Emmys – the program revolves around the story of Wanda Maximoff (played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (played by Paul Bettany), two superheroes from Marvel comics (and supporting characters from the Marvel Comics universe). Avengers), who lead a seemingly tidy life in a small, chic suburb until the day Vision begins to suspect that everything may not be what it seems.
The spin-off should, for its part, be centered on another character, secondary but very important in the series: that of Agatha Harkness (or Agnes at the beginning of the show), the curious and falsely naïve neighbor of the superhero couple, who finally turned out to be a powerful witch. The new series, described as a black comedy, will therefore return to the story of this character, who will still be played by actress Kathryn Hahn (Mrs. Fletcher). As for the direction of this spin-off, we will once again find the talents of filmmaker Jac Schaeffer, already at the origin of the WandaVision series.
