Lily-Rose Depp dreams of being a wild cat in her next film

If Lily-Rose Depp played a teenager embarked on a space trip that looks like an LSD trip in the film Voyagers Released last May, the young actress returns to the cinema with Wolf, a film as gloomy as it is surprising directed by Nathalie Biancheri, where she will share the screen with British actor George MacKay.

For her next feature film, two years after the acclaimed drama Noctural, director Nathalie Biancheri unveils Wolf, a strangest film that is finally revealed in a first trailer that is enigmatic to say the least. Presented at the Toronto International Film Festival last September, the feature film features two disturbed individuals who both think they are wild beasts: Jacob, who believes he is a wolf locked in a man’s body, and Wildcat, who thinks he is actually a wild cat. They will then both be interned in a specialized clinic called “the Zoo”, alongside other people who believe they are animal souls trapped in human bodies, which will aim to rehabilitate them.

However, Jacob will undergo a form of extreme healing therapy from the center’s doctor, and will form an intense relationship with Wildcat, with whom he will try to escape from this torment. As for the cast of this film as gloomy as it is mysterious, it is the young British actor George MacKay (1917, Peter Pan, The Secret of the Marrowbones) who will play Jacob, and it is Lily-Rose Depp (The King, The Faithful Man, Voyagers), a French-American model and actress, who will play Wildcat. Alongside them, we will also be able to find actors Fionn O’Shea, Eileen Walsh, Lola Petticrew and Paddy Considine (also scheduled to cast House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones).

Wolf (2021) by Nathalie Biancheri, scheduled for release on December 3 in the United States. Release date still unknown in France.
