Put under the spotlight thanks to the Netflix film The Kissing Booth in 2018, Australian actor Jacob Elordi has been churning out ambitious projects ever since. From TV shows, such as Euphoria, to independent productions, such as Priscilla and Saltburn, everything works in favor of the career of the 27-year-old, who is one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. Here’s an overview of his multiple, exciting upcoming films.

Jacob Elordi’s unexpected debut in The Kissing Booth
A handsome, mysterious boy riding his motorbike… The Netflix film saga The Kissing Booth (2018-2021) is what put Jacob Elordi under the spotlight. The 27-year-old Australian embodied the older brother of the protagonist’s best friend, who fell madly in love with him and his bad boy looks… While the films have contributed to the actor’s fame and that of actress Joey King, they are far from being the best projects of his filmography. Actually, the actor himself is not very proud of that trilogy of teen romcoms.
Fortunately for Jacob Elordi, his career quickly took a different turn. In 2019, he joined the cast of the ambitious HBO series Euphoria. A show that was a resounding success when it came out and that propelled Sydney Sweeney and Hunter Schafer into the ranks of highly sought-after talents.
While season 3 is still in the making, the series has shone a light on the actor, who plays a complex character in it, and has opened new doors for him with projects like the film Deep Water (2022) in which he starred alongside Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck. But it was in 2023 that Jacob Elordi really made his breakthrough in various highly scrutinised projects.
The leader of the babygirl trend, endorsed by Chanel and Sofia Coppola
Renowned among the Gen Z for his refined fashion style, Jacob Elordi has recently established himself as the leader of the babygirl trend. With his vast collection of handbags, the actor hasn’t gone unnoticed by Hollywood directors. In 2023, Sofia Coppola turned him into Elvis Presley (after Austin Butler) in Priscilla, a biographical drama film tracing back the life of the singer’s wife, Priscilla Presley, embodied by actress Cailee Spaeny (Civil War).
That same year, he also worked with director Emerald Fennell on Saltburn. Alongside comedian Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi played the sensual Felix Catton, a wealthy and seductive academic, in a sultry project filled with the Oxford aesthetic of the 2000s. That role further boosted the popularity of the actor and caught the attention of Italian director Luca Guadagnino (Queer). For him, he starred in the latest Chanel N°5 perfume campaign alongside Margot Robbie – a production that staged a perfect idyll in a Californian setting.
As a result, Jacob Elordi’s professional schedule keeps being full. Oh, Canada, is the actor’s latest feature film, presented in official competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Gay romance, Frankenstein’s monster… Jacob Elordi’s exciting projects
In 2025, Jacob Elordi will be starring in numerous huge projects. On the small screen, he will be the lead actor in the show The Narrow Road to the Deep North, scheduled for April. The drama series is based on Richard Flanagan’s novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North and is set in Asia during the Second World War. Produced by Prime Video, the series will star Jacob Elordi as a surgeon dealing with the devastation of prison camps.
On a different note, Jacob Elordi will embody the main character in Daniel Minahan’s upcoming film On Swift Horses – a homosexual love story set against a backdrop of tragedy, as the charismatic Julius (Jacob Elordi) meets a work colleague (Diego Calva) with whom he gets romantically involved behind closed doors during the mid-1950s. Daisy Edgar-Jones (Twisters) and Will Poulter (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) will also appear in On Swift Horses, whose release is scheduled on April 30th, 2025.
Collaborations with Margot Robbie and Ridley Scott
Jacob Elordi will also be working with other big names in the industry, including Mexican American director Guillermo del Toro. The actor is expected to play a demanding role as Frankenstein’s monster. Adapted from Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, the Netflix production will feature the actor in the skin of a frightening creature – a real character study to be developed alongside actors Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth as Victor and Elizabeth Frankenstein.
Although these films are already very exciting, they are not the only ones in the actor’s filmography. Other upcoming projects include a new adaptation of the novel Wuthering Heights, in which he will reunite with Emerald Fennell and Margot Robbie. In addition to this story of love and revenge, Jacob Elordi will star in Ridley Scott’s new post-apocalyptic feature, The Dog Stars, with Margaret Qualley and Josh Brolin.
