On the cover of Numéro art 17, the Formafantasma duo invites us to the new location of the Fondation Cartier in front of the Louvre. The designers have overseen the spatial design of the space opening this week. The new issue of Numéro art is available at newsstands and on iPad since October 18th, 2025.

The new Fondation Cartier is opening its doors with Formafantasma, on the cover of Numéro art 17
After thirty years spent on the Left Bank, the Fondation Cartier is crossing the River Seine to inaugurate its new space on Place du Palais-Royal through hundreds of works from its collection. In charge of the site’s scenography, the Formafantasma duo welcomed us during the installation process and reflected on that experience with the foundation’s director, Chris Dercon. Numéro art discovered the place for the first time, alongside photographer Nick Chard, and got a glimpse at the artworks installed inside Jean Nouvel’s new building.
