All’s Fair, a camp and sexy show by Ryan Murphy

It’s one of the year’s campiest, sexiest, and most glamorous series. Its trailer has already racked up forty-four million views… On November 4th, 2025, the first three episodes of Disney+ and Hulu’s latest release All’s Fair will be available. The series, created by Ryan Murphy (known for Monster, American Horror Story, Glee), follows a ruthless team of divorce lawyers who leave a male-dominated firm to open their own practice in Los Angeles.

These fierce women – —ambitious, brilliant, ruthless, and impeccably dressed – help other women through messy divorces involving shameful secrets, vast sums of money, and bitter betrayals. Their mission? To avenge their broken clients, often disrespected by wealthy men, and help them rebuild their lives… All the while navigating their own personal troubles. Expect stunning villas, luxury cars, high heels, razor-sharp dialogue, and lots of drama.

A stellar cast starring Sarah Paulson and Kim Kardashian

As is often the case with Ryan Murphy, the cast is outstanding. Kim Kardashian, who drew her inspiration for the role from her law studies and from the career of her father, a lawyer, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson, and singer Teyana Taylor, all star in this legal drama. Businesswoman Kris Jenner is among the executive producers, alongside her daughter. And the icing on the cake? Brooke Shields, Judith Light, Elizabeth Berkley, and Jessica Simpson will all make guest appearances in this production.

All the lead actresses said yes to the audacious, “bigger than life” Ryan Murphy without even reading the script. As the American businesswoman and influencer Kim Kardashian, 45, explained during a press conference held at the Bristol in Paris last October 2025: “What defines Ryan Murphy is what he brings out in you, even before you get aware of it. Everyone agreed to this project before even reading the script or knowing what it was about. Ryan does have the power to get you to say yes instantly. As far as I know, no one else in this business can do that…Naomi Watts confirmed: “I said yes without even reading anything about it. We all did.”

Some of the actresses had already worked with Ryan Murphy before All’s Fair. American actress Sarah Paulson, 50, star of American Horror Story and Ratched, explained: “He was the first one to consistently say yes to me. And that gave me a strength and confidence I might not have felt without his support. I’ve worked with him more than with anyone else in my professional life. He brings out in me this ‘Go big or go home’ energy, which is something I love to tap into. It’s like living in a world of extremes. I really like the idea of having no rules, no limits.”

The Ocean’s 8 (2018) star, who plays the black sheep in the series – a lawyer bent on revenge against her colleagues – added: “Naomi (Watts) and I were just talking about it recently. His confidence in our abilities is what pushes us to take the leap, to dive in without knowing what’s coming or what the end goal will be. Sometimes, we have no idea what’s going to happen with the show. And neither does he, which is actually really freeing and gives me a feeling of freedom and safety. I also know he’ll never let us look stupid or ridiculous.” Indeed, Sarah Paulson believes that the director and producer “really takes care of his female collaborators. He’s committed to having their stories told with as much truth and sensitivity as possible.”

As for British actress and producer Naomi Watts (Mulholland Drive, King Kong), 57, she also values the freedom and trust that Ryan Murphy gives his actresses. She noted: “He surrounds himself with wonderful people, top collaborators. And the way he brought this group of women together, knowing all their work, skills, and what each of one them could bring to the table, gave me instant trust.”

It is truly a gift to be part of this group of exceptional women.” – Glenn Close

Other stars are newcomers to the Ryan Murphy Cinematic Universe. That is the case of the iconic Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmatians). While the 78-year-old actress excels (as always) in her role as the elegant matriarch of a law firm, she had to adjust to the distinctive tone of the master of exaggeration. “I play Dina Standish, and I’m the mentor to all these women. I was the first woman in a very traditional, male-dominated law firm. And I push these lawyers to start their own firm. I was the only actress who had never worked on a series by Ryan Murphy and I was very intimidated at first. It took me some time to find the right tone. I think Ryan is a genius. He pushes boundaries. And who would have thought we’d have such incredible chemistry and that the stories we could tell would be endless? It is truly a gift to be part of this group of exceptional women.

Everyone in the cast not only loved working with Ryan Murphy, but with Glenn Close too. “We all grew up watching her incredible work. As an actress who, I think, has good taste in performances, she’s on the top of the list. There’s Glenn the icon, but also Glenn the woman, person, friend and mother. I’m going to get a bit emotional. She’s extraordinary. It’s such a joy to be around her. She’s so maternal, but also a little childlike and incredibly funny. Have you seen the viral video where she talks about ‘serving cunt’? (a phrase popularized by ballroom culture and RuPaul’s Drag Race, which means exuding boldness and charisma, ed.),” Naomi Watts shared.

I had to do a very emotional scene with Glenn Close, and I was terrified.” – Kim Kardashian

With her limited experience in film and television, Kim Kardashian explained: “For one of my very first scenes in All’s Fair, I had to do a really emotional scene with Glenn Close, and I was terrified. I felt like Ryan knew exactly what he was doing. He threw me right into the role on my very first day to help me feel more confident. Glenn was incredibly supportive, she truly is an exceptional woman. I’d even say she’s the most generous actress I’ve ever met. I remember that particular scene. We were filming a lot in a conference room, and everyone had gathered to watch her. I think it was Sarah Paulson who said to me: ‘Look at her! What she’s doing is so special.’

Kim Kardashian also recalled one sequence in particular: “She had to film a scene where she was deeply emotional, angry, crying and shouting. Just sitting there, in front of the camera, touching up her eye makeup, was incredible. You could see people gathering to watch her performance. They knew they were witnessing something extraordinary.” At this point in the press conference, she looks at Glenn Close and takes her hand, before adding: “It was an honor and a tremendous joy to learn from you and to watch you play every day.”

A strong sense of sisterhood among the actresses

Watching the cast interact during the press conference at the Bristol and later that same evening at Maison de la Chimie in Paris on October 21st, 2025 (Kim Kardashian’s birthday), one could feel the deep chemistry and strong sense of sisterhood between the actresses of All’s Fair. American singer, dancer, and actress Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another), 34, admitted they had even created a WhatsApp group with a very provocative name, on which they regularly exchange messages.

American actress and TV host Niecy Nash-Betts (Grotesquerie, Claws), 55, praised the benefits of being part of a predominantly female cast: “We clicked right from the start. Ryan Murphy hosted a dinner for us, and after a few cocktails, we were best friends. We were gossiping, sharing secrets, we really hit it off. It’s a group of women who genuinely love each other. People often ask me, ‘What did you learn from them?’ My answer is that it’s more about what I gained thanks to them! Because it’s true sisterhood. I know I can count on them, and they know they can count on me.

The key messages we want to convey with this series are about female strength, true friendship, and girl power.” – Kim Kardashian

Debunking patriarchy is also the message conveyed by the series according to Kim Kardashian: “The main goal of the show is to inspire women and make them feel confident. We’re family law attorneys, and each week we meet a woman who is going through a tough time and a particularly painful moment in her life. As lawyers, but also as friends and as a group of supportive women, we’re there to help her and lift her out of that downward spiral. The key messages we want to convey in this series are about female strength, true friendship, and girl power.”

The Skims founder adds: “You can be strong, you can take control of your life, and you can help others. Our goal is to set an example and inspire other women to follow their dreams. And we all look fabulous doing it.

    A very fashion-forward show

And Kim Kardashian – aptly named Allura Grant in the show – was right to emphasize the importance of their style. In All’s Fair, as well as during the show’s promotional tour, the actresses have consistently delivered bold fashion statements. On the red carpet, they have been spotted wearing Dior by John Galliano, Schiaparelli, Mugler, Valentino, Dilara Findikoglu, and Prada. These architectural and colourful outfits have only heightened anticipation for what is already one of the most talked-about series of 2025.

All’s Fair, created by Ryan Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz, and Joe Baken, premieres on Disney+ on November 4th, 2025.
The All’s Fair pop-up store, featuring upcycled pieces made from wedding dresses (gifted to visitors), will be held on November 7th, 2025, from 2 pm to 8 pm at 79 rue de Turbigo, Paris, 3rd arrondissement.
