Which leather jacket to choose for the Fall season?

From Perfectos to blazers and bombers, Numéro has selected 13 must-have pieces to wear this Fall to enjoy the lingering mild temperatures.

  • By Louise Menard.

  • How to wear the leather jacket?

Oversized at the Saint Laurent show, fringed at Rick Owens, cropped at Tom Ford… Let’s face it, the leather jacket has lost none of its luster. As seen on the Fall/Winter 2025-2026 runways, it remains a must-have this season.

Recently spotted on Kendall Jenner, Chloë Sevigny, and of course the eternal Kate Moss, the leather jacket is trending more than ever. Not to mention the top models adorning the piece between shows during the Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Week

Where to find the perfect piece?

    The leather bomber

The oversized bomber, inherited from the fighter pilots and standout star of the cult film Top Gun (1986), is now sweeping through the streets of the capital, drenched in autumn hues. And recent collaborations only prove that point. Sacai x Carhartt WIP, Walk in Paris x Schott, or G-Star teaming up with Australian designer Marc Newson… Designers and brands are joining forces to offer unconventional, irresistible takes on the classic bomber.

    The biker leather jacket

With its notch collar, asymmetric zippers and resolutely rock flair, the zip-up jacket or Lenny Kravitz-inspired Perfecto takes on its most classic, stripped-down form this season at Maje. It appears a slightly more casual version at Isabel Marant, and goes full grunge at MM6 Maison Margiela.

Crumpled leather biker jacket, €2,241, Isabel Marant.

    Available on farfetch.com.

Vintage-like leather biker jacket, €1,295, MM6 Maison Margiela.

Cropped leather biker jacket, €415, Maje.

    The leather blazer

Often ornamented with buttons and considered as the ultimate symbol of chic sophistication, the long blazer offers clever tailoring this season. While Milanese label Valstar presents it in distressed leather, Toteme goes for a delicately grain-embossed, refined version. Meanwhile, Claudie Pierlot breaks away from the design’s inherent minimalism with a retro twist – a voluminous shearling collar.

    Black leather jacket, €1,980, Toteme.

    Available on int.toteme.com.

Straight leather jacket, €695, Claudie Pierlot.
