“Dear Giorgio,
You’re gone, and it’s a whole world that crumbles. No words can express what we felt upon the news of your passing.
Your legacy will never be forgotten : you changed fashion, you changed the way we view women’s beauty forever.
You have built a fashion empire and a lifestyle in black, grey and white.
Your one-of-a-kind vision revolutionized menswear. You gave it an absolute modernity, embraced by the most beautiful Hollywood actors, from Richard Gere to Brad Pitt. You dedicated your sketches to dazzling women, enhancing the glamour of the greatest icons around the world, from Cate Blanchett to Tina Turner.
Our friendship grew over the years, fed on passion, respect and kindness. Since the first day we met, I realized what an exceptional man and fascinating designer you were. You had an unmistakable elegance and a profound humanity.
You will stay in our memories, hearts and in each of your sketches that embody your talent.
Your extraordinary work will transcends time and will live forever in eternity.
Love you forever.”
