In Paris, the Modes concept store brings together young designers, vintage creations and collector sneakers
Launched in Italy in 1971 by Aldo Carpinteri , Modes has established itself as a benchmark for fashion and style, thanks to its cutting-edge selection of avant-garde designers and established brands. At Paris Fashion Week last September, this visionary Italian brought a breath of fresh air with his brand-new boutique, inaugurated in the prestigious Golden Triangle.
In a raw space of 300 m2 designed by the Berlin architecture studio Gonzalez Haase AAS, whose work includes Balenciaga boutiques by Demna Gvasalia, the elegant collections of Dries Van Noten, the voluminous dresses of Cecilie Bahnsen, the radical creations of Marine Serre or the glamorous dresses of The Attico, while France’s Jacquemus takes on Japan’s Junya Watanabe and Comme des Garçons. Among the emerging labels, Modes has chosen young designer Victor Weinsanto , whose dramatic collections have won him over, American Emily Adams Bode and Englishwoman Grace Wales Bonner, who are making a name for themselves in menswear, and Casablanca’s colorful collections.
To this eclectic, colorful wardrobe, adds a corner dedicated to sneakers from the collection in partnership with Stadium Goods, as well as an exquisite selection by Didier Ludot of La Petite Robe Noire, including Pierre Balmain dresses and Yves Saint Laurent creations.
