Depuis son arrivée chez Courrèges en septembre 2020, Nicolas di Felice fusionne à la perfection l’héritage 60’s à un esprit techno-futuriste ultra contemporain. Au sein de son défilé automne-hiver 2022-2023, une garde-robe dédiée aux amatrices de soirées techno débridées, le créateur multiplie les looks en vinyle – matière phare de la maison depuis son lancement en 1961. Parmi eux, cette robe ajourée faussement sage construite d’empiècements géométriques en vinyle bordeaux, associée à une casquette blanche.

4. Le faux-trench argenté Gucci

 

Pour la collection automne-hiver 2022-2023 de Gucci, Alessandro Michel, directeur artistique de la maison italienne délaisse momentanément son esthétique baroque au profit d’un vestiaire qui explore tailoring et sportswear  – rencontre matérialisée dans une collaboration avec Adidas. Ainsi le duo chemise bleu/pantalon beige, uniforme masculin contemporain, perd de son conformisme une fois associé à un trench revisité en vinyle argenté. 

5. Le manteau à double-boutonnage en latex rose Avellano 

 

Si dans la mode tout est une question de timing, Arthur Avellano, fondateur en 2020 du label qui porte son nom, a su choisir le bon pour se lancer. À l’instar de son défilé automne-hiver 2022-2023, ses collections invitent le latex partout et surtout là où on ne l’attend pas. Loin de l’esthétique dominatrix, ce pardessus élégant à la coupe classique ose le rose bonbon girly pour un effet Barbie 2.0.

6. La robe de vamp en vinyle rose GCDS

 

Fun, sexy, excentrique, GCDS, le label de Giuliano Calza lancé en 2015, synthétise à merveilles le glamour outrancier de Versace et le luxe décalé de Moschino dans des collections au streetwear tapageur qui séduisent en masse les pop stars et influenceurs. Dans une collection automne-hiver 2022-2023 inspirée du comte Dracula, cette robe sirène dramatique en vinyle rose dragée invite une des épouses du célèbre vampire dans un monde virtuel kitsch.

7. Le blazer en vinyle noir Alaïa

 

Digne successeur d’Azzedine Alaïa, Pieter Mulier ravive l’héritage du couturier disparu en 2017 à coups de créations sculpturales infusées d’une radicalité infusée de minimalisme. 9. Le pantalon en vinyle rouge Etro

 

Il suffit parfois de pas grand chose pour qu’une pièce un peu ringarde gagne en style. On Saint Laurent’s, Balmain’s and Balenciaga’s catwalks, latex left its fetishistic aura and became elegant and radical. Since then, the popularity of these materials is on the rise. Now considered as vegan alternatives to leather – which Stella McCartney can boast of being a pioneer – latex and vinyl are unfolding their former unexplored potential through easygoing, glamorous, and above all, unexpected creations. Here is a dive into 11 women’s and men’s looks spotted on the catwalks of the last Fall-Winter 2022-2023 shows.

 

1. Versace’s red vinyl maxi down jacket

As the artistic director of the flamboyant house of Versace for over 25 years, Donatella Versace has proven that she masters like no other the subtle art of maximalist glamour infused with bling and glitter. Her Fall-Winter 2022-2023 show, a successful stylistic exercise around the theme of the bustier, demonstrates the extent of her talent. Revealed in 2018 by the LVMH Prize, South Korean-born American designer Rok Hwang and his label Rokh are giving a new lease of life to the women’s wardrobe with sophisticated collections and hybrid creations that evoke the radical vision of Chitose Abe for Sacai. One of his favorite pieces is the trench coat, which appears this winter in a slim-fitting, floor-sweeping, electric blue vinyl version. More sci-fi than Parisian chic.
