She seems determined to stay faithful to her signature genre, offering a romantic comedy carried by an elite cast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official title and plot of the film remain unknown for now. However, according to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/film\/news\/nancy-meyers-comedy-penelope-cruz-kieran-culkin-jude-law-release-date-2-1236649935\/\"><em>Variety<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, it is said to be a new version of <strong><em>Paris Paramount<\/em><\/strong>, a project Nancy Meyers had been developing with Netflix in spring 2023, before it was shelved for financial reasons. The feature will ultimately be produced by <strong>Warner Bros<\/strong>. It\u2019s from a quote by the brilliant and elegant comedy director (dare I say creator of the romantic comedy) Ernst Lubitsch. The movie is about a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/02\/penelope-cruz-kiernan-culkin-jude-law-owen-wilson-nancy-meyers-movie-1236706285\/\"><strong><em>Deadline<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the film is currently in production. <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/culture-en\/movies\/james-gray-calls-on-adam-driver-and-scarlett-johansson-for-his-film-paper-tiger\/\"><strong>Scarlett Johansson<\/strong><\/a> was originally included in the cast but had to withdraw to focus on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/culture-en\/movies\/which-cult-horror-movie-remake-will-star-scarlett-johansson-as-a-scream-queen\/\">Mike Flanagan<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s feature <em>The Exorcist<\/em> (2027). <strong>Michael Fassbender<\/strong> (<em>Shame<\/em>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/culture-en\/movies\/james-gray-calls-on-adam-driver-and-scarlett-johansson-for-his-film-paper-tiger\/\"><strong>Adam Driver<\/strong><\/a> (<em>Patterson<\/em>) were also considered at one point.
