The 2026 Golden Globes ceremony is taking shape<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While the Academy Awards<\/strong> are scheduled for March 16th, another major event in American cinema is kicking things off. The 83rd edition of the Golden Globes<\/strong> will take place overnight on January 10th and 11th, 2026, at the legendary Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. A star-studded audience is already expected to compete in glamour.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this edition is already shaping up to be a promising one. Comedian Nikki Glaser<\/strong> returns as host of the ceremony for the second year in a row, while a new category joins the lineup of iconic awards. In addition to the traditional prizes, like \u201cBest Motion Picture – Drama\u201d or \u201cBest Screenplay,\u201d the Academy will now honour the Best Podcast<\/strong>. One Battle After Another<\/em>, Frankenstein<\/em>\u2026 The nominations of the new edition<\/h2><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Among the standout films competing for the Golden Globe for \u201cBest Motion Picture Drama,\u201d are the American epic One Battle After Another<\/em><\/strong> (9 nominations), directed by Paul Thomas Anderson<\/strong><\/a> and starring Leonardo DiCaprio<\/strong><\/a>, the drama Sentimental Value<\/em><\/strong><\/a> (8 nominations) by Joachim Trier<\/strong>, starring Renate Reinsve<\/strong> and Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/strong>, and the horror film Sinners<\/em><\/strong> by Ryan Coogler <\/strong>(7 nominations). Palme d\u2019Or winner Jafar Panahi<\/strong><\/a> can boast four Golden Globe<\/strong> nominations for It Was Just An Accident<\/em><\/strong><\/a> this year. It will also represent France at the ceremony. Still on the French front, the stunning feature Arco<\/em><\/strong> by Ugo Bienvenu is competing for \u201cBest Motion Picture – Animated\u201d.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
