After making a splash with her 2024 album Brat<\/em><\/strong>, Charli xcx<\/strong> has become the ultimate it girl. After conquering the music industry – the singer is also set to drop a new record, alongside the release of the film Wuthering Heights<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0in February 2026 – she is expanding her wild, provocative universe into cinema. She will appear in Gregg Araki<\/strong>\u2019s upcoming film I Want Your Sex<\/em><\/strong> with Olivia Wilde<\/strong>, in Erupcja<\/em><\/strong> by Pete Ohs (premiered at TIFF), and in 100 Nights of Hero<\/em><\/strong> by Julia Jackman, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and will close the London Film Festival next week.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

But there is one feature in particular that has people talking\u2026 The Moment<\/em><\/strong>, directed by Aidan Zamiri<\/strong><\/a> and co-written by Bertie Brands<\/strong>. This project marks Charli xcx<\/a><\/strong>‘s first film production with her company Studio365<\/strong>, in collaboration with A24<\/strong>. The film will be presented at Sundance<\/strong> in January 2026, alongside a documentary about Courtney Love<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

Trigger warning for epileptics, the pop star unveiled the teaser for this feature film \u201cbased on her idea\u201d on Instagram. She appeared play the main character, a pop star preparing for a tour. The soundtrack promises a chaotic and wild new project.<\/p><\/p>\n\n

British producer A. G. Cook<\/strong> will compose the soundtrack and is also credited in the cast. As for the rest of the lineup? It is both completely unexpected and wildly exciting, since it brings together Kylie Jenner<\/strong><\/a>, Rosanna<\/strong> Arquette<\/strong>, Alexander<\/strong> Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/strong>, Rachel<\/strong> Sennott<\/strong><\/a>, Mel<\/strong> Ottenberg<\/strong>, Shygirl<\/strong>, and none other than Arielle Dombasle<\/strong>.<\/p> \n \n<\/div> \n<\/div> \n<\/div> \n<\/div> \n<\/div> \n<\/div> \n<\/article><\/p>\n\n
