The company first acquired the <strong>Savoy group<\/strong>, a veteran on the London luxury hospitality scene with legendary hotels, like <strong>The Connaught<\/strong> and <strong>Claridge\u2019s<\/strong>. Then, it set its sights on an <strong>international, cosmopolitan and design-savvy clientele<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"1570\">Its masterstroke in attracting and keeping these new demanding nomads? Entrusting its 61 suites, studios, and penthouses to some of today\u2019s most renowned interior designers. Among them are <strong>Andr\u00e9 Fu<\/strong>, who rose to fame in 2009 with <strong>The Upper House<\/strong> in Hong Kong. <strong>Pierre-Yves Rochon<\/strong>, known for <strong>Four Seasons<\/strong> hotels around the world. <strong>Alexandra Champalimaud<\/strong>, who led the acclaimed renovation of Raffles in Singapore. The firm <strong>Rigby &amp; Rigby<\/strong>, behind fascinating architectural projects in New York and Thailand. And finally, <strong>Patricia Urquiola<\/strong>, whose furniture graces modern living rooms from New York to Saint-Barth\u00e9lemy, and whose latest triumph is the Six Senses in Rome.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p data-start=\"1572\" data-end=\"1854\">The nearest underground station is <strong>Knightsbridge<\/strong>, which means that <strong>Harrods<\/strong> and the <strong>Victoria and Albert Museum<\/strong> are just around the corner. As its name suggests, it overlooks the <strong>lush vegetation of Hyde Park<\/strong>. With its walk-in shower, freestanding tub, automated Japanese toilet, and Ascend bath products scented with ginger and sage, the bathroom is simply divine. It is separated from the bedroom by a wood-panelled dressing room and a dressing table including a Dyson hairdryer.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same attention to detail extends throughout the suite. Premium bedding, a minibar with a Morning espresso machine, loose-leaf Genmaicha tea, Acqua Panna mineral water, and other chilled beverages without surcharge. Dorset crab toast with chili and aioli, scallop tartare with shiso, sole tacos, cheddar cheeseburger, beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauce\u2026 The food is fresh, crisp, tasty, and unapologetically New York-style &#8211; perfect for lunch. Post-workout, you can also grab something to eat at the <strong>Surrenne Caf\u00e9<\/strong>. It offers chia seed pudding, shakshuka served with pita, a red rice pok\u00e9 bowl, or tuna tartare with avocado and kimchi.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"1271\">At night, it all happens at <strong data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"777\">La M\u00f4me<\/strong>, the spectacular \u201cclubstaurant\u201d where luxury and electro decibels collide. On the menu, Black Angus tomahawk steak, truffle risotto, yellowtail carpaccio with caviar, pissaladi\u00e8re, vitello tonnato, artichoke salad, and a Grand Marnier souffl\u00e9. A perfectly balanced meal that might make you believe that you are at <strong>La Petite Maison<\/strong> in Nice, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/fashion\/the-secrets-behind-the-most-stunning-dresses-at-the-cannes-film-festival\/\"><strong>Cannes Film Festival<\/strong><\/a>, in Rome, or in Dubai. The <strong>Surenne Caf\u00e9<\/strong> rivals the elegance of <strong>Angelina<\/strong> or <strong>Ladur\u00e9e<\/strong>. As for the pool, it recalls the one at the <strong>Lutetia<\/strong> in Paris, with its private cabanas and ambient music that spins slowly through the air like the colours of a mobile, thus contributing to a near-hypnotic state. There are too many perks to mention, but one worth citing is the Cigar Lounge. Easily one of the most beautiful we\u2019ve ever seen.
