After leaving a lasting impression with her Palme d’Or-winning and Oscar-winning film Anatomy of a Fall<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0in 2023, Justine Triet<\/strong><\/a> (Sibyl<\/em>, Victoria<\/em>) is finally back. The French filmmaker, 47, is reportedly in the process of shooting her new feature film.<\/p>\n\n

That\u2019s what a recent Instagram photo posted by her producer Marie-Ange Luciani<\/strong> suggested. It showed Justine Triet<\/strong> on a film set surrounded by her crew. For now, little is known about the filmmaker\u2019s new feature.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to Deadline<\/em>, her upcoming film will be titled Fonda<\/em><\/strong> and will be shot in English. The brilliant Mia Goth<\/strong><\/a> (Frankenstein<\/em>) will star in this hyperlink feature. In doing so, Justine Triet<\/strong> joins an increasing number of French filmmakers working with English-speaking actresses. Think of Coralie Fargeat<\/strong> and Demi Moore<\/strong> in The Substance<\/em> (2024), Alice Winocour<\/strong> and Angelina Jolie<\/strong> in Couture<\/em><\/a> (2026), or Rebecca Zlotowski<\/strong> and Jodie Foster<\/strong> in A Private Life<\/em>\u00a0(2025).<\/p>\n\n\n

The charismatic Andrew Scott<\/strong> (Fleabag<\/em>, All of Us Strangers<\/em>, Ripley<\/em>), Odessa A’zion<\/strong> (Marty Supreme<\/em>), Frank Dillane<\/strong> (Urchin<\/em>), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett<\/strong> (Misfits<\/em>), Cherry Jones (Five Days at Memorial<\/em>), Benedict Wong (Weapons<\/em>) and Allison Janney (I, Tonya<\/em>) are part of the project too. Filming is said to take place in Dax next spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the plot, it remains shrouded in mystery. \u201cA psychological thriller set in a seemingly idyllic closed environment, Fonda<\/strong> takes us on a dizzying journey through the shifting boundaries of a sound mind, as grief and obsession gradually take hold of it<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
