Kitschy lips on Chlo\u00e9’s runway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Judging by the make-up<\/strong> looks seen during this Spring\/Summer\u00a02026Paris Fashion Week<\/strong>, kitsch<\/strong> is about to make a big comeback. At August Barron<\/strong>, the beauty look reminded us of Anne Dorval<\/strong> in Xavier Dolan<\/strong>\u2019s film Mommy<\/i> (2014). That resolutely 1980s aesthetic was to be found at Chlo\u00e9<\/strong><\/a> too. Whimsical and eccentric, the models\u2019 lips crafted by make-up artist Yadim Carranza<\/strong> were painted in candy-pink, a colour verging on the edge of bad taste according to some.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romantic, frightening make-up at Mati\u00e8res F\u00e9cales<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Mati\u00e8res F\u00e9cales<\/strong>, moderation has no place – neither in fashion nor in beauty. The violet eyeliner is exaggerated, the complexion pale, almost ghostly, the eyebrows erased, and the black contact lenses recall the dark universe of Rick Owens<\/a><\/strong>. In contrast, some silhouettes are enhanced by baroque, powdered make-up<\/strong>. A quite rococo aesthetics, worthy of a revamped Madame de Pompadour<\/strong>. Here, make-up does more than serve the collection. It extends its duality, oscillating between romance and violence, classical and unsettling beauty.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
