Step into the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria Versailles \u2013 Trianon Palace and your dream will become (almost) true. Adjoining the entrance to the <strong>Trianon estate<\/strong> \u2013 formerly <strong>Marie-Antoinette<\/strong>\u2019s leisure place \u2013 the hotel seems almost like an extension of the former royal residence commissioned by Louis XIV at the end of the 17th century.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p>From its magnificent dressed-stone fa\u00e7ade to its lush gardens and sweeping views over the grounds and rooftops of Versailles, the property stands out from the many other luxurious hotel complexes on the outskirts of <a data-mce-href=\"\/?p=690771\" href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/lifestyle-en\/the-best-japanese-restaurants-in-paris\/\"><strong>Paris<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p>The impressive building still offers service on a human scale. Here, the staff take personal care of every guest. A short taxi ride or a trip on the RER and you\u2019ll find yourself right at the <strong>hotel<\/strong>\u2019s doorstep. And, let&#8217;s be honest, the gates of the<strong> Ch\u00e2teau de Versailles<\/strong> never fails to leave us speechless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a weekend getaway, or more for the lucky ones, the place offers a little bubble of luxury and elegance. After finding your luggage already waiting in your room thanks to the staff, you will step into a vast suite with a contemporary d\u00e9cor and two balconies. The spacious bathroom evokes a princely residence. The wide bed will allow you to stretch out for a good night sleep without disturbing your partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A glass or two of champagne and a few delicious macarons later, you will head to one of the two restaurants of the hotel. For us, it will be <strong>La V\u00e9randa, <\/strong>a brasserie bathed in the light of the sunset thanks to its large picture windows. There, you can enjoy authentic French cuisine prepared in a small glass outbuilding nearby, which you can even see from your table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We obviously loved the<strong> poached egg \u00e0 la Meurette<\/strong> as a starter. But we highly recommend the incredibly tender <strong>Salers beef fillet<\/strong> served with a small helping of truffled mashed potatoes. The icing on the cake? Away from the hustle and bustle of Parisian life, you will find yourself opening the velvet curtains in your bathrobe. From your room, you will be able to gaze at the peaceful <strong>Trianon estate<\/strong>. A clich\u00e9? Perhaps. But that is exactly the spirit of the<strong> Waldorf Astoria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s now time for breakfast, delivered by the 24\/7 room service of the hotel. A salmon eggs Benedict, a glass of mango nectar, a latte macchiato, and we&#8217;re ready to head to the hotel\u2019s magnificent Guerlain spa, still in our bathrobe. Stretched out on a heated massage table, you could almost drift back into your beauty sleep. But missing a second of the <strong>Aura Nobile treatment<\/strong> is out of the question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p data-start=\"868\" data-end=\"1252\">This hour-and-a-half ritual features products from <strong>Guerlain\u2019s Imp\u00e9riale Gold Nobile line<\/strong> \u2013 a range of creams crafted from the Gold Nobile orchid, native to the Himalayas. It feels like a luscious honey mask on the skin. Combining the art of acupressure with gua sha facial sculpting, the treatment drains and detoxifies your face. It also includes a light upper-body massage.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is astonishing. Your face is glowing, as if it had recovered from every late night you\u2019ve ever had. Afterwards, we made our way to the <strong>pool<\/strong>, sheltered beneath an incredible <strong>glass<\/strong> <strong>roof<\/strong>. After a few leisurely laps and some time spent in the sun, it\u2019s time to return to our suite, close our suitcases and hand back the keys to our little cocoon unfortunately\u2026 But we will be back for sure!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p><em><a
