In short, pure thrills&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h2><em>F1<\/em>, Joseph Kosinski&#8217;s new film starring Brad Pitt<\/h2><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throw in American actor <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/culture-en\/brad-pitt-and-france-a-long-standing-love-story-2\/\">Brad Pitt<\/a> as lead character, seven-time <strong>Formula 1<\/strong> world champion <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/fashion\/what-is-the-theme-of-the-2025-met-gala-co-chaired-by-pharrell-williams-and-lewis-hamilton\/\">Lewis Hamilton<\/a> as co-producer, and <strong>Joseph Kosinski<\/strong> (<strong><em data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1012\">Top Gun: Maverick<\/em><\/strong>) as director, and you\u2019ve got one of the biggest blockbusters of summer 2025, airing on Canal+ on March 6th, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Produced by <strong>Apple Original Films<\/strong> and distributed by <strong>Warner Bros. France<\/strong>, <em data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1151\">F1<\/em> is expected to cause just as much of a stir as the <strong>Netflix<\/strong> series <strong><em data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1247\">Formula 1: Drive to Survive<\/em><\/strong>. This tattooed lone wolf with dirty clothes, a van, bulging muscles, and lots of sex appeal, comes out of retirement to mentor a young racing driver and save the Formula 1 team of an old friend, played by <strong>Javier Bardem<\/strong>. All while seizing the opportunity to triumph on the track and become the best driver in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A former <strong>Formula 1<\/strong> star from the 1990s, <strong>Sonny Hayes<\/strong> suffered from a serious car crash during a race. He then took a break, fell into depression, got married several times, became addicted to gambling, and kept racing on low-level circuits. No matter the track, the intrepid racing driver is hooked on the rush of speed&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A star-studded cast with Kerry Condon and Javier Bardem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s be clear, <strong>Brad Pitt<\/strong>,<strong> <\/strong>who actually drives a real race car in <em data-start=\"220\" data-end=\"224\">F1, <\/em>is the $200 million trump card of the film. With his soulful gaze and bad-boy swagger, he brings a great deal of humanity to the character of Sonny Hayes, a man who pushes boundaries and breaks rules on the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CT2_P2DZBR0\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CT2_P2DZBR0<\/a><\/div>\r\n<figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The trailer of the film <em>F1<\/em> (2025).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is with great pleasure that we discover Irish actress <strong>Kerry Condon<\/strong> (<em data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"513\">The Banshees of Inisherin<\/em>, 2022) as a car engineer and love interest of the protagonist, as well as Spanish star <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/culture-en\/movies\/nicole-kidman-and-javier-bardem-recreate-a-cult-sitcom-from-the-50s\/\">Javier Bardem<\/a> (<em data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"617\">Dune: Part Two<\/em>, <em data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"628\">Skyfall<\/em>) as the head of a failing racing team. We\u2019re less convinced, however, by British actor <strong>Damson Idris<\/strong> (<em data-start=\"730\" data-end=\"748\">Outside the Wire<\/em>) who overdoes it a tad as the arrogant young driver vying with Sonny Hayes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An immersive Formula 1 experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Formula 1<\/strong> fans will be thrilled to know that real-life drivers make appearances in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8yh9BPUBbbQ\"><em data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"947\">F1<\/em><\/a>, including <strong>Lewis Hamilton<\/strong> himself. The British racing driver also oversaw the film\u2019s authenticity to ensure it stayed true to actual race conditions. He even took Brad Pitt on a high-speed ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The race scenes are ultimately spectacular and deeply immersive. Why? Because they were shot during actual Grand Prix between 2023 and 2024. They used cutting-edge cameras on the cars, and sometimes even on helmets, to give viewers the impression of being right inside the car. It all adds up to a theme-park thrill ride, especially if you watch it in IMAX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dpvQqmX6SUI\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dpvQqmX6SUI<\/a><\/div>\r\n<figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tate McRae &#8211; <em>Just Keep Watching <\/em>(2025).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tate McRae, Doja Cat\u2026 A dazzling soundtrack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If <strong><em data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1557\">F1<\/em><\/strong> boasts a dream cast on screen, the soundtrack of the film is very entertaining too. The action kicks off at top speed with a race scene powered by a <strong>Led Zeppelin<\/strong> hit. Aside from the numerous rock tracks, the score was composed by Hans Zimmer and an all-star lineup of international musicians. Among them, singer-songwriter <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/culture-en\/music\/interview-with-tate-mcrae-the-ultra-sexy-pop-star-performing-in-paris\/\">Tate McRae<\/a> interprets the song<strong> <em>Just Keep Watching<\/em><\/strong>, a high-voltage pop anthem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/non-classifiee\/don-toliver-and-travis-scott-strut-their-stuff-in-their-lamborghini-in-an-old-school-music-video\/\">Don Toliver<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/non-classifiee-2\/is-doja-cats-music-too-frivolous\/\">Doja Cat<\/a> contribute the brilliant<em><strong> Lose My Mind<\/strong><\/em>, while superstar <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/culture-en\/music\/how-rose-who-is-releasing-his-first-solo-album-became-a-global-phenomenon\/\">Ros\u00e9<\/a> (from the K-pop band <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/lifestyle-en\/whats-in-store-for-the-sexy-lisa-blackpink-at-the-crazy-horse-2\/\">Blackpink<\/a>), <a href=\"https:\/\/numero.com\/en\/fashion\/fashion-week-en\/mary-j-blige-burna-boy-lil-kim-celebrities-at-the-bottega-veneta-spring-summer-2022-show\/\">Burna Boy<\/a>, and <strong>Peggy Gou<\/strong> are also featured on the soundtrack of what appears to be one of 2025\u2019s landmark films. Yet, Formula 1 purists might frown at the overuse of safety cars, over-the-top effects, and Sonny Hayes\u2019 astonishing number of sabotage attempts against rival teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for us, we might have liked a bit more emotional depth in the confrontations between the young driver (<strong>Damson Idris<\/strong>) and the seasoned pro (<strong>Brad Pitt<\/strong>). However, we have to admit that the formula of <em data-start=\"2532\" data-end=\"2536\">F1<\/em>, built on adrenaline and eternal charisma of the <em data-start=\"2599\" data-end=\"2611\">Fight Club<\/em> actor, crosses the finish line with flair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>F1 (2025) by Joseph Kosinski, airing on Canal+ on March 6th,
