Founded in 1971 by the eponymous designer, the label introduced a forward-thinking wardrobe focusing on cuts and fabrics, and deliberately detached from the seasonal trends of the fashion industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the early 1990s, <strong>Issey Miyake<\/strong> introduced his iconic pleated technical fabric that would become his signature &#8211; soft to the touch, washable, crease-resistant, and lightweight. The exhibition will be focusing on the innovative approach of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/im_men_official\/\">IM MEN<\/a> line, launched in 2021 by <strong>Issey<\/strong> <strong>Miyake<\/strong>. Inspired by the concept of \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a piece of cloth<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d created by its founder, who crafted garments from a single piece of fabric, the label will showcase its latest research in garment construction and textile design from its Spring\/Summer 2026 collection.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the helm of IM MEN\u2019s design team are three creators appointed by Issey Miyake himself: <strong>Yuki Itakura<\/strong>, <strong>Sen Kawahara<\/strong>, and <strong>Nobutaka Kobayashi<\/strong>. Dedicated to menswear, the name of the label refers to the brand \u201cim product\u201d.
