Measuring up to one of the most famous albums of the last four decades is an ambitious project that doesn\u2019t seem to daunt the chameleon artist, more confident than ever after the trials and missteps of the past few years.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Musically, however, the album ultimately leans heavily into pop, despite featuring some of the cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me of indie rock. But what\u2019s the score? <\/span><strong><i>Something Beautiful<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> does feature interludes and even an electro, psychedelic, and symphonic track titled <\/span><strong><i>Prelude<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, along with a very artsy music video.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hypnotic and experimental, this spoken-word piece veers far from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flowers<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and mainstream pop, leaning more towards<strong> David Bowie<\/strong>\u2019s territory. A pleasant surprise with a sense of boldness. There\u2019s also the surprising, jazzy, rock, and avant-garde song <\/span><strong><i>Something Beautiful<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As for <\/span><strong><i>Every Girl You\u2019ve Ever Loved<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it\u2019s kitschy and enjoyable, like a soundtrack you\u2019d hear at a party during Fashion Week.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nevertheless, there\u2019s a lot more happening in the moving track <\/span><strong><i>Pretend You\u2019re God<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where the star lets down her guard, showing her vulnerable and authentic side. Then there\u2019s her voice, still at its peak just like her charisma. On May 21st, <strong>Miley Cyrus<\/strong> revealed that she suffers from Reinke\u2019s edema in an Apple Music podcast &#8211; a condition that tends to make her voice deeper and raspier.
