2024: A breakout year for Sydney Sweeney, star of three films<\/h2>\n\n\n

With her doll-like face and smart career choices, American actress Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a> is steadily climbing the ranks of Hollywood stardom. In 2019, she made a noteworthy appearance in Quentin Tarantino\u2019s ninth feature Once Upon a Time\u2026 in Hollywood<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

That same year, she lit up the screen in HBO\u2019s Euphoria<\/em><\/strong>, playing the troubled and vulnerable high schooler Cassie Howard, alongside Zendaya<\/strong><\/a> and Jacob Elordi<\/strong><\/a>. With 24 million Instagram followers, she\u2019s also starred in critically acclaimed shows like Sharp Objects<\/em> (2018)<\/strong> with Amy Adams<\/strong> and The White Lotus<\/em> (2021)<\/strong><\/a>, another HBO hit.<\/p>

In January, she starred opposite Glen Powell<\/strong> in the romantic comedy Anyone But You<\/em>,<\/strong> which grossed nearly $190 million worldwide. A month later, she joined Dakota Johnson<\/strong><\/a> in the superhero film Madame Web<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>

Despite the Marvel film\u2019s commercial flop, Sweeney quickly bounced back with a surprising third feature: Immaculate<\/em><\/strong>, a horror thriller in which she delivers a chilling performance as a nun caught in eerie and mysterious events.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sydney Sweeney<\/strong>\u2019s packed schedule continues into 2025, with a slew of thriller projects in the pipeline. She is reportedly in talks to star in a new adaptation of The Masque of the Red Death<\/em> by Edgar Allan Poe<\/strong>\u2014a gothic tale infused with horror elements.<\/p>

According to production company A24,<\/strong> this version will lean more toward dark comedy, a perfect fit for Sweeney, who has already proven her range in both horror and comedic roles.<\/p>

She\u2019s also returning to television, co-starring with Julianne Moore<\/strong> in Echo Valley<\/em>, a thriller for Apple TV+. The series follows a mother-daughter duo whose lives spiral after the daughter returns home, covered in someone else\u2019s blood.<\/p>

Later in 2025, she\u2019ll star in The Cleaning Lady<\/em><\/strong>, a thriller adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name. Starring opposite Amanda Seyfried<\/strong>, Sydney Sweeney<\/strong> plays a housekeeper employed by a wealthy suburban New York couple, who finds herself entangled with a dangerously \u201cperfect\u201d husband.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
