En mars dernier, c’est un nouveau coup d’audace sur la toile que nous r\u00e9servait la maison Balenciaga<\/strong>. La majorit\u00e9 des publications de la marque espagnole sur Instagram avaient disparu. Seuls sept – d\u00e9sormais supprim\u00e9s eux aussi – \u00e9taient disponibles sur son compte officiel : ceux d’une campagne intitul\u00e9e \u00c9t\u00e9 25<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

Known for its bold stunts on Instagram, Balenciaga<\/strong> did it again on March 19th, 2025. Only seven shots are currently available on the brand\u2019s official account – those of a campaign entitled Summer 25. Orchestrated by British photographer Nadia Lee Cohen<\/strong>, the images are striking because of their polished aesthetic, reproducing what seems to be a film set. In one of the seven photographs, American actress Rachel Sennott<\/strong> stares out at the camera, wearing a navy blue jumper with a dark garter belt. A new fashion feat for the actress, who has recently made a series of high-profile appearances wearing outfits from the house.<\/p>\n\n

Revealed by the comedy Shiva Baby<\/em> (2020), Rachel Sennott<\/strong>, 30, has gradually climbed the Hollywood ladder. She shines in films with a caustic sense of humour, ranging from horrific to teen movies.<\/p>\n\n

While she has already established herself on screen as the most promising new talent in American comedy, the actress is taking things a step further by directing her first series, I Love LA<\/em><\/strong> (2025), for HBO Studios. A project which will star Gossip Girl<\/em> revelation Leighton Meester <\/strong>and which premieres this Monday, November 3rd, on HBO Max. Throwback to the best roles of the new Internet darling.<\/p>\n\n

In 2021, British platform MUBI<\/strong> added a highly unusual comedy to its catalogue entitled Shiva Baby<\/strong><\/em>. Why? Firstly, because this feature film, nominated at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival, is the first directed by Canadian filmmaker Emma Seligman<\/strong>, who had already made a name for herself with theshort film of the same name. Secondly, because it surprises with its pungent humour at the crossroads between British and American indie movies.<\/p>\n\n

Rachel Sennott<\/strong> plays a young woman, who goes to a religious festival with her family. The event soon goes south when she runs into one of her lovers and his wife… Danielle is tormented by the clash between tradition, independence and sexual liberation as a bisexual woman. These are questions that all young women ask themselves, but this time Emma Seligman addresses them through the lens of Judaism. She also injects a great deal of humour, for a highly refreshing result.<\/p>\n\n

A podcaster in Bodies, Bodies, Bodies<\/em>, a brutal satire towards Gen Z<\/h2><\/h2>\n\n

Three years before Nicole Kidman<\/strong><\/a> in Babygirl<\/strong> (2025), Rachel Sennott<\/strong> was one of the actresses to shine in the world of director Halina Reijn<\/strong>. The latter is leading a resolutely Gen Z horror film with Bodies, Bodies, Bodies<\/em>. Produced by A24<\/strong> Studios, the feature follows a group of friends, each one more insufferable than the other, who meet in a remote villa. After a couple of drinks and drugs, they decide to play \u2018Bodies, Bodies, Bodies\u2019, a game vaguely reminiscent of the card game Werewolf.<\/p>\n\n

Yet, when one of them is found dead, dread suddenly takes over\u2026 A true modern-day slasher, Bodies, Bodies, Bodies<\/em><\/strong> gives Rachel Sennott<\/strong> a chance to shine as a podcaster in a hyperlink cinematic production. The cast includes actress Amandla Stenberg<\/strong> and actor Pete Davidson<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n\n

An unpopular highschool girl in Bottoms<\/em>, the modern-day Fight Club<\/em><\/h2><\/h2>\n\n

Barely two years after Shiva Baby<\/em><\/strong>, Rachel Sennott<\/strong> and director Emma Seligman<\/strong> collaborated once more on a new project. Bottoms<\/strong><\/em> is the result of those two minds meeting again and of a four-handed screenplay. The pitch? Two unpopular lesbian friends start a fight club as a way to hook up with cheerleaders. With a cast full of new Hollywood talents – Ayo Edebiri, Kaia Gerber<\/strong> and Nicholas Galitzine<\/strong> – the film is a funny, facetious and contrasting version of David Fincher<\/strong>\u2019s Fight Club, released 25 years earlier.<\/p>\n\n
