Launched in 2013, the LVMH prize has established itself as the one of the most prestigious prizes in the fashion world, <\/strong>serving as a veritable springboard for up-and-coming designers as well as a talent detector for professionals in the field. In September 2019, <\/strong>the fifth annual event chose the South African designer Thebe Magugu as the winner of its Grand Prize and Israeli designer Hed Mayner for the Karl Lagerfeld Award.<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n\r\n

In addition to its eminent jury made up, among others, of Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Clare Waight Keller <\/strong>and Jonathan Anderson<\/strong><\/a>, the LVMH prize calls upon a committee of experts that brings together journalists, photographers, stylists, models and other influential personalities in fashion and luxury. Together, from a selection of 20 designers who have made it to the semi-final, they chose the new finalists for the prize. As we near the semi-final for this year, set to take place on February 27th and 28th, the committee has added 9 new experts including the famous American model Gigi Hadid<\/a>, who will also be the ambassador of the showroom. Other new members are the artistic director Ronnie Cooke Newhouse \u2013 also on the jury for the next Festival d\u2019Hy\u00e8res<\/a> \u2013, the Irish writer and activist Sin\u00e9ad Burke and the stylist Ibrahim Kamara, also fashion editor-in-chief  of the magazine i-D<\/em>. They will be joining the journalists Suzy Menkes and Lo\u00efc Prigent, the models Karlie Kloss and Natalia Vodianova<\/a> and the founder and editorial director of Num\u00e9ro, <\/em>Babeth Djian<\/a>, forming a committee of nearly sixty experts in total. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
