Playlist: August 2025 with Chappell Roan, Amaarae and Tame Impala

June was filled with new releases from Addison Rae, Haim, Lorde, and Little Simz. July and August 2025 are also bound to be full of musical surprises. Numéro reviews the albums and singles that will be part of our summer playlist.
On July 4th, Kesha, Ethel Cain, John Glacier, rapper A$AP Rocky – with Pray4dagang and its stunning music video – singers Doja Cat and SZA featured on tracks by Lizzo make waves with new releases.
Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, FKA Twigs and Clipse make the news
A week later, on July 11th, 2025, Burna Boy makes a powerful comeback with his new opus, No Sign of Weakness, including collaborations with Travis Scott, Stromae, and Mick Jagger. The rap duo Clipse also makes an impression with a new record and a collaboration with Carhartt WIP, which includes jackets, sweatshirts, and t-shirts.
Other major releases? Albums by Justin Bieber, who makes a big comeback with the highly successful Swag, and Wet Leg, the exuberant punk-spirited rock band. Regarding new singles, Blackpink, Danny L Harle, PinkPantheress, Tyla, Olivia Dean, and Deftones are this week’s standouts.
On July 13th, rapper Travis Scott impresses us with the compilation album Jackboys 2, which features Dumbo, one of the best tracks right now.
The comeback of Tyler, the Creator, Tame Impala and Blood Orange
On July 18th, Blood Orange, Bad Bunny, The Last Dinner Party, FKA twigs and Alex G joined our monthly playlist. A few days later, on July 21st, Tyler, the Creator is expected to release his brand new record: Don’t Tap the Glass.
One week later, on July 25th, 2025, we’ll see the release of an EP by rocker Kurt Vile (Classic Love), thunderous new singles from Tame Impala, Jorja Smith and Sombr, and a remix album by the diva Madonna (Veronica Electronica).
Chappell Roan, Kali Uchis and Sabrina Carpenter in the August 2025 playlist
August kicks off with a brand-new single by Chappell Roan titled The Subway and a duet featuring Kali Uchis and Mariah The Scientist called Is It A Crime. Other highlights include a new album from Reneé Rapp, an EP by Sofia Kourtesis, and singles by Rema, Slayyyter, Saweetie, Yves Tumor, Hayley Williams, and Demi Lovato.
On August 8th, expect new tracks from the great Amaarae with her album Black Star, The Black Keys and Ethel Cain to captivate music lovers. On August 22nd, singer Laufey, Mac DeMarco, and Wolf Alice will make headlines with exclusive songs.
The month will end on a high note with two major releases – new albums by pop star Sabrina Carpenter (Man’s Best Friend) and rock icon Jehnny Beth (You Heartbreaker, You), not to mention an album by The Hives (The Hives Forever Forever the Hives).
