Photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino new exhibition in Paris, at the Studio des Acacias

A virtuoso director and photographer with international recognition, Jean-Baptiste Mondino is showing 20 years of collaboration with Numéro at the Studio des Acacias by Mazarine from July 5 to 20.

Between the 5th and 20th of July, the Studio des Acacias is metamorphosing into a photo studio to unveil, in 100 shots, the abounding inventiveness of Jean-Baptiste Mondino, a brilliant image maker. An eternal friend of Numéro, the artist has immortalised some of the world’s greatest celebrities. We remember his music videos for Prince, Madonna and Vanessa Paradis, now cult, as well as his portraits of Bjork, Karl Lagerfeld, Johnny Depp, Lou Doillon, Rocco Siffredi and Milla Jovovich.

And it’s all because the photographer cultivates a sharpened curiosity for his own era, its musicians and its actors. With a very active desire to reveal their unique energy, Jean-Baptiste Mondino transcends reality in images. Nourished by his love for music, from rock to hip-hop, his images reflect the facets and the cultures of our time. Fashion, as the thermometer of the zeitgeist, forms another of the man’s predilections, and he is well known for his sense of verve and humour. His ultra-slick images are firmly engraved on the collective memory like pop culture emblems.
