How does Prada reclaim beachwear?

A sunny, colorful collection
“A change of tone”. That’s how the dynamic duo Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons introduced their latest Spring/Summer 2026 menswear collection. Wandering through the brutalist setting of the Prada Foundation, enhanced with about thirty flower-shaped rugs, the models showcased a collection with clean lines (seemingly) composed of the most classic pieces on Sunday June 22nd, 2025.
Following a Fall/Winter 2024-2025 menswear show defined by a muted palette, Prada opts this season for bold colors – apple green, canary yellow, bright red, vibrant pink. While the trench coat stands out as one of the key pieces of the collection, alongside the jackets inspired by utilitarian and military styles, it is the mini bloomer shorts, slightly puffed, that stole the show. They can be paired with anything, thus standing as a summer menswear essential – ultra-comfortable, yet subtly subversive.
Joggers, meanwhile, are chic this season, and turtlenecks, a house signature, are making a strong comeback. Applauded by actor Harris Dickinson, Prada ambassador, spotted in the front row, this new collection feels refreshingly light with its effortless and elongated silhouettes.

Revamped beach accessories
As usual, the house unveils unexpected accessories that set the tone for summer trends. In addition to boat loafers with gommino soles or black leather loafers with cut-out fronts, Prada brings back men’s flip-flops and the sneakerinas reminiscent of Bensimon in soft colours.
Hiking bags and backpacks inspire a yearning for travel. Meanwhile, lapel pin-shaped jewelry features edgier hidden messages like “drift” or “overnighters.”
But the true star of the show is the straw hat. It comes either in with an elegant finished or raw weave versions. Oversized, it brings a bold, unapologitic seaside touch to the entire collection. And as is often the case with Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, this collection also questions the codes of masculinity. Yet again, it claims that everything is always handled with perfection at Prada.
