From Soso Maness to Vladimir Cauchemar, is the AliExpress festival trying to compete with We Love Green?

AliExpress seems to want to restore its image by following in the footsteps of Rock en Seine and We Love Green. The Chinese fast-fashion giant is offering a music festival bringing together Soso Maness,  Vladimir Cauchemar and Ofenbach to be held in Paris next November.

The (ultra)fast-fashion giants seem to have given themselves the word. For the past two years, the Asian sales site Shein has been organizing digital live events that have invited Katy Perry, Lil Nas X, Tinashe, Rita Ora and Doja Cat. But its competitor AliExpress is also surfing on the success of music festivals by offering its own. For the third year in a row, the retailer is unveiling a musical event, the 11.11 festival, organized by the Chinese company Alibaba and which will take place on November 11.

And for the very first time, the festival will take place in France. The offline party will take place at the Parc des Expositions in Paris with a heterogeneous program ranging from Bob Sinclar to Marseille rapper Soso Maness, via Ofenbach, Andy4000, Vladimir Cauchemar, Macadam Crocodile, Mara, Mezigue and Mad Rey. The artists’ performances will also be available to watch in real time on Youtube and Twitch. To take its “cheap” logic to the end, the platform has put tickets on sale for 15 euros on the streaming concert site Dice.

The 11.11 festival, on November 11 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Parc des Expositions in Paris.
