Arca collaborates with Sia and announces a new album
The Venezuelan producer who has worked with Kanye West, FKA Twigs and Björk unveils a new track featuring Sia, Born Yesterday, heralding a new mutant electro album scheduled for December.
A week after the release of the aptly named Incendio, Venezuelan producerArca releases a new incandescent track featuring singer Sia. Entitled Born Yesterday, the deviant electronic pop track is accompanied by a hypnotic video where Arca, equipped with luminous horns on her back, sways her hips in the darkness while lip-syncing.
This potential hit announces Arca’s next album, KiCk ii, scheduled for December 3rd. A year after KiCk i and a few months after her EP Madre, the experimental producer will release a 12-track opus featuring Boys Noize, Mica Levi and Jenius Level. For the Björk and Kanye West collaborator, this will be an album belonging to a four-volume anthology. The impressive cover, which has just been unveiled, was designed by artist Frederik Heyman, who has previously photographed advertising campaigns for Burberry and Nike as well as a fashion series with Lady Gaga, which Arca recently remixed.
